What No One Seems to Know About Ted Cruz's Past
At the FTC, Cruz's agenda could have been written by Milton Friedman.
Cruz promoted economic liberty and fought government efforts to rig the marketplace in favor of special interests. Most notably, Cruz launched an initiative to study the government's role in conspiring with established businesses to suppress e-commerce. This initiative ultimately led the U.S. Supreme Court to open up an entire industry to small e-tailers. Based on his early support of disruptive online companies, Cruz has some grounds to call himself the "Uber of American politics."
Moreover, and perhaps surprising to some, Cruz sought and secured a broad, bipartisan consensus for his agenda. Almost all of Cruz's initiatives received unanimous support among both Republicans and Democrats.
Ted Cruz a consensus-builder? He was, at the FTC.
interesting.
Should be “Cruz is the good guy”
There is nothing more harmful to business that other business that has cronies in DC giving them subsidies and breaks and throwing up regulatory blocks in the path of competitors.
The smoking ban in Michigan bars is a perfect example. The casinos lobbied for the law but got a loophole carved out for themselves with a law that exempts any bar with more than 10,000 sq feet of floor space.
Wow, you are an empty suit! Address the information provided or don’t waste our bandwidth.
You don’t have time to go into Ted Cruz’s background or even read this article, but then you have oodles of time to troll every single pro Ted Cruz thread with mindless garbage?

Ok, then I just misread the line. I can’t imagine Cruz would suppress any kind of commerce.
Ok. The line was badly written, but it’s clear he isn’t attacking any kind of commerce.
Cruz launched an investigation to investigate the government's efforts to conspire with businesses to suppress e-commerce (see excerpt below). The full article is fabulously positive for Ted Cruz and his support of free market economics in e-commerce. It's also highly complimentary about Ted's ability to form consensus between Republicans and Democrats while heading up the Federal Trade Commission's Office of Policy Planning.

Just stop. You’re embarrassing yourself.
Yes, I see that. Again, I hastily read some of the sentences that were poorly written, but my fault for not reading with more care. Cruz is good on this.
And when you look at contributions to all candidates you will find many of the same groups in more or less the same order. Much like Trump said that he did, they give to everyone (not in the same amounts but they all certainly hedge their bets to some extent so they can attempt calling in future favors no matter who the winner is).
Retired folks at number 1 is the only one that really surprises me. It shows that Cruz is, first and foremost, a man of the people. The exact opposite of what our local Cruz troll is saying.
Thanks for the list!
I have noticed this also as I was going through the different threads. Not one reference or name of these Trial Lawyers or Wall Street banks.
Does anyone know this guy, “Old Retired Army Guy”?
Sorry, but Cruz is the only guy who always does what he promises he is going to do. A breath of fresh air.
His hero, economically, is Milton Friedman. Enough said.
He is all about freedom with a capital F, Freedom!
This is why he was able to go to the Iowa agricultural summit and get applause after telling them that he has every intent to cut off the ethanol subsidies.
They accepted it because he spoke about lifting the regulatory and tax burden farmers face and cutting the string that ties them to government. In short letting them take their own risks and letting them find their own path to prosperity.
Excellent post of Trump facts for all of his supports to consider.
Trump = Perot
As for Mr. Cruz - I believe him to be the best conservative candidate to date.
I’ve see a recent FR post featuring troubling Cruz video clips.
It sure would be helpful to have pro and con candidate points all in one place.
Dizzying dissonance.
Is that all you have?
Please tell us how he he contradicts himself.
The only truth that’s going to come out is that conspiracy theorists are nutcases who need to get out of the basement more often.

The exact opposite of what our local Cruz troll is saying. It's definitely a grassroots effort in fundraising, and wonderfully successful I might add. Internal data from the Cruz campaign has logged over 450,000 contributions originating from nearly half of all the zip codes in America. The average of all the donations is $73.

Who do you recommend over Cruz?
