And when you look at contributions to all candidates you will find many of the same groups in more or less the same order. Much like Trump said that he did, they give to everyone (not in the same amounts but they all certainly hedge their bets to some extent so they can attempt calling in future favors no matter who the winner is).

Retired folks at number 1 is the only one that really surprises me. It shows that Cruz is, first and foremost, a man of the people. The exact opposite of what our local Cruz troll is saying.

It's definitely a grassroots effort in fundraising, and wonderfully successful I might add. Internal data from the Cruz campaign has logged over 450,000 contributions originating from nearly half of all the zip codes in America. The average of all the donations is $73.
