Joining CBS's "Face The Nation" on Sunday, Karl Rove suggested that Americans who grade Senator Ted Cruz highly in terms of his presidential readiness are too ignorant to know what they are looking for in an ideal presidential candidate.
When Rove was asked to opine on a poll querying Iowa Republican caucus goers' views of the GOP candidates' readiness to be Commander in Chief, he said of these likely voters, "I don't think they know what they want."
"I don't think they know what they mean when it comes down to specific candidates," he said of Iowa Republicans. "They want somebody who seems .. quote..- 'presidential.'"
Cruz came in at the poll's top spot with 67% of respondents believing him to be ready for the presidency. Senator Marco Rubio came in second place with 51%.
Earlier in the segment, Rove had described the Republican field as aligning itself against Donald Trump, saying, "The rest of the field is beginning to consolidate around the notion that it shouldn’t and cannot and must not be Trump."
No mention was made about conservatives and Republicans consolidating against Bush, whose support in polls has been sinking since he announced his candidacy. Recent polls in Iowa have him receiving around 5% support of the state's likely Republican primary voters. (snip)

Another one calling the Iowa Republican voters stupid.
It makes you wonder by what percentage GWB would have won election and reelection, the composition of Congress after 2006, and the result in 2008 if Rove and incompetents like him weren’t advising Bush to stay quiet and absorb punishment, getting McCain nominated and then having him refrain from exposing Obama as a Muslim and Communist, and otherwise sabotaging Republican campaigns through all those years.
Of course Republicans who like Cruz know what they want. I think it is safe to say that all FR’s want smaller government, an end to corruption, a return to honesty, and policies that are in sync with the US Constitution.
We want a leader who will do what is necessary to keep us safe; keep out terrorists; be God-fearing; love this country and our traditions, etc.
In other words, a person whose character is a lot like Ronald Reagan.
Cruz supporters know what they want- and it’s sure not more of Karl Rove’s RINOism.
Every Rino attack on Cruz is equivalent to a grand endorsement, the Rino’s project fear as Cruz campaigns for their extinction.
He is, however, beholden to eminent domain seizures.
And Trump is well-seasoned (and proud of it!) in the art of buying political influence. At the link:

A guy who for 21 of the past 26 years donated almost equally to both parties (more to Democrats, actually) as a "cost of doing business" is very much the kind of guy who can himself be bought if in office -- it's his MO.

Most of the time Iowa voters are stupid. They vote for demoncrats.
Iowa Republican voters are NOT the ones voting for Democrats.

Cruz would shovel up this petrified liberal dog turd and his consultant fellow rabbit balls and toss them into the nearest ditch or hole and cover them up with lime and dirt to stop their offensive presence.
President Cruz means Rove and his motorcycle gang’s money train stops for at least four years and Karl’s gotta eat, why they might have to work for real out of the closet liberals to see if they can fleece some $$$ out of them before losing-—again.
Most know they don’t want Rove and his demons.
