Joining CBS's "Face The Nation" on Sunday, Karl Rove suggested that Americans who grade Senator Ted Cruz highly in terms of his presidential readiness are too ignorant to know what they are looking for in an ideal presidential candidate.
When Rove was asked to opine on a poll querying Iowa Republican caucus goers' views of the GOP candidates' readiness to be Commander in Chief, he said of these likely voters, "I don't think they know what they want."
"I don't think they know what they mean when it comes down to specific candidates," he said of Iowa Republicans. "They want somebody who seems .. quote..- 'presidential.'"
Cruz came in at the poll's top spot with 67% of respondents believing him to be ready for the presidency. Senator Marco Rubio came in second place with 51%.
Earlier in the segment, Rove had described the Republican field as aligning itself against Donald Trump, saying, "The rest of the field is beginning to consolidate around the notion that it shouldnât and cannot and must not be Trump."
No mention was made about conservatives and Republicans consolidating against Bush, whose support in polls has been sinking since he announced his candidacy. Recent polls in Iowa have him receiving around 5% support of the state's likely Republican primary voters. (snip)

In the 3 states comprising CBS's Battleground Poll... the same question was asked as to whom is best prepared to be Prseident....Cruz 67% in Iowa; 57% is SC- all others well behind. In NH, it was Trump (48%) and Cruz (47%).
Now considering that in all these polls 80..90% of these folks don't register Cruz as their first preference as a candidate, their respect for Cruz is remarkable.
Cruz couldn't have received better news- and I imagine it will inform his campaign from here on. It will just take a gentle nudge to convince these voters to forsake a doubt as to a certainty, and vote for the guy they think is best prepared to be President.

FU Turdblossum. Proceed to the closest treadmill, fata$$.
Rove the Butterball.. just spreading his stuff... seriously... who takes this guy seriously... I mean seriously.
Of course, Rove knows exactly what conservatives want, having lost how many elections in the last decade?
As a Cruz supporter I know what I want.
I want Rove to go away and take all the Bush money with him.
I may not know what I really want, but I know what Karl Rove really wants - globalization, increased profits for the financial sector, ruination of the sector providing jobs to the white working class, and the replacement of whites by browns on the bottom and yellows at the top.
That is sufficient to make Karl Rove my mortal enemy, and by extension his stable of clients.
Truly a flaming idiot hack. He’s carrying the goal of emulating Democrats to very high level.
I know enough to know I don’t want you or your ilk!
He knows he is lying. He knows Cruz supporters are fed up with Rove’s cabal.
Cruz is moving up in every single poll-—probably expected as both Fiorina and Carson drop. I’m sure he’s picking up some of their supporters as is Trump.
Rove is barking at the moon. And the moon ain’t listening.
We know we don’t want Karl Rove.
Why is this guy given time on TV?
Oh yeah, he hates conservatives.
FUKR.
I know what Rove wants...
He wants money to flow into his PAC, and from there into his pocket.
The worldly wise and their anecdotes can never be exhausted. Rove most likely believes Islam is a religion of peace too...just like his former boss (GW)
Thanks to you Karl, we know what we don’t want.
He knows he is lying.
