Speaking at the Family Leader's Presidential Family Forum in Des Moines, Iowa, on Friday, Texas Senator Ted Cruz had some harsh words for President Obama. The Republican presidential candidate believes that the president is tearing at the fabric of society by undermining the freedom of religion.
And he's not willing to let that happen.
"It is the first right protected in the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights. It is the foundation of everything else in America. If you canât worship God, all other liberties are taken away." Although many people seem to believe that the freedom of speech is the most important natural right, that has not been the case historically. The liberty movement began centuries ago with the realization that people were born with the natural right to worship God as they pleased. Since religion and the government (or actually: the king) were intertwined back then, this was a truly revolutionary concept. Once that right was recognized, other liberties - such as the freedom of speech - followed suit.
But it all started with the freedom of religion.
Cruz is better versed in the history of liberty than any of the other candidates, and proved that in Des Moines. He continued:
"When Barack Obama in San Francisco talks about the American people back in 2008 (as) bitter and angry and clinging to our God and our guns â well, weâre not bitter, we are getting pretty angry. And, you know what, he canât have either our God or our guns.â

I am all, 100%, in favor of freedom of religion.
But not in freedom of ideology. Some things are totally incompatible with the currently constituted body of laws that make up our binding legal code, and the Shari’ah law code contained in the overall ideology of Islam is one of them.
Since the Shari’ah law code is so intimately bound up with the practice of the religion of Islam, then either the Islamic scholars get it disentangled, or the practice of that ideology must be discontinued in the territory once known as “the United States of America”.
It is not illegal for a person to personally believe in Communism, or its ideological cousin, National Socialism, or even the bastard offspring of crony capitalism, Fascism, in this country, but none of them can be put into operation without coming into conflict with Constitutional law.
Insults do not bother me. Reality does.
You need to get a bit of reality, it helps. Americans aren’t going for the old way this time.
Cruz was fighting when Hillary Clinton was still cashing Trump's campaign donations.
The Trump hyenas say that Cruz isn’t a threat, and their hero is unstoppable, but lately they’ve been clawing their keyboards and foaming at the mouth on Cruz threads to assure (themselves) of just that.
They’re transparent.
Hussein is a Bitter Clinger to his arming of the Muzzie Broz and to his Book of the Goat Humpers.
Go Cruz Go!
For the doubters:
Even HuffPo gives Trump better numbers, though their model still has him going down to defeat.

All that said, it’s still a very long way to November 2016. Trump blasted off early, rising 10 points from July to September, but has plateaued in the past couple of months. Conversely, Clinton began polling above 50% but tumbled 8 points from July to September, and has — just like Trump — plateaued here in the past two months. She got a recent boost early this month, but the race is still tight enough that any substantial “swing” event could see it swap ends pretty much overnight. Hillary’s life is crawling with investigators, and she has more hidden skeletons than Forest Lawn. She’s walking on eggshells; Trump’s enjoying himself in the bright light of day.
Basis the credible odds of a Hillary implosion on some legal front, I think Reality favors Trump in the long run.
Stop insulting Trump supporters. I don’t hear them calling Cruz supporters names or insulting them. You try to insult Trump for calling people names but you’re no better.
btw, we;re not losing sleep over Cruz or anyone else.
I’ve read, listened, and watched. Again, stop with the grade school insults. I know Rubio has hit and still hitting Cruz. The msm is propping up Rubio, lots of air time on different shows, lots of Rubio surging crap.
They have trown off any pretense.
Good point.
Sorry Dave, polish is not what the voters want. That is why Trump is ahead. People are not in to the fancy pants politician BS.
You could not be more wrong!
OK Trump supporters : Duchess47 ‘ Fantasy writer, entropy12, Mollypitchert, Jane Long...
So you say that Trump supporters are not rude, obnoxious, and troll the Ted Cruz threads ?
Well here is a perfect example that us Ted Cruz supporters have been trying to get across to you guys.
Come take a look on this thread.
Hypocrites...
To be fair Kenny do a research on FR you will find plenty of examples of Trump supporters trolling the Ted Cruz threads, being rude and insulting Ted Cruz supporters.
They are not totally innocent.
OK Ted Cruz supporters let’s take notes and take names when ever they try to accuse of something that they themselves are already doing.
Thanks, I'm sure that's true. But it shouldn't happen. We're all smart enough to debate the issues, no room for personal attacks not even on the other candidate.
Geesh dude, you need to take some time off. Ted is okay but you are not.
In fact a sick azzed dude like you scares me.
Obama will just call you a bunch of bitter clingers.... I bet Liberals wouldn’t mind if Obama put conservatives in GITMO and poured water up their nose...
Cruz is the toughest and the best fighter the GOP has got. You are mistaking Trump's loudness, boorishness and uninformed blather for toughness. It's not.
Rubio hitting him from all sides.
Is that why Cruz is crushing Rubio in today's Iowa poll?
