I live in DeKalb, which is about 40 miles west of the western suburbs. We got about 3 inches of snow so far, and it should be ending soon.
I used the snowblower (hey, it's brand new) and the investment was well worth it. The college professor next door and his son were shoveling when I went out and still shoveling when I finished and went back in.
Time to go back out. The plow just pushed some back into the driveway...

About 40 miles NW of Chicago. 12 inches on the ground and still snowing heavy. It’s heavy and wet. Will be tough getting out to the road.

Rolling Meadows, about 15 miles NW of O'Hare, we have about 8-10 inches.
An hour ago it was still snowing and blowing and the roads were pretty bad. The drivers were worse.
Now that it has stopped, the roads are getting to be more slushier.
