By now you have probably seen a plethora of stories in the Mainstream Media that Donald Trump wants special ID badges for Muslims. One little problem here. Trump never actually said this. One "tell" that this story is false is that there is no video of Trump saying this. The best the MSM can come up with is one with Trump answering questions about border security. The word "badges" never crossed his lips. The other tell is the very selective use of quotes in which only a portion of a sentence in which Trump supposedly called for badges for Muslims is in quotation marks. Snopes Fact Check does an excellent job of destroying this fake story which we shall review but first let us take a look at an example very selective and highly misleading quotes by ABC News:

The MSM hates Trump and they hate us...
Orgasmic dumb media are so full of it and are going to be so disappointed - again.
It’s a doomed attack from the start because.
A) because even a site like Snopes has to debunk it.
B) because its a Friday and few will care.
C) because if someone hears it, they will just chalk it up to Trump’s usual swing for the fences style of rhetoric and shrug it off.
D) They agree with the sentiment, even though it’s a myth.
E) Cruz nor Carson are going to take the bait.
Not really sure this will hurt Trump; may even help him.
I know my constitution well enough to appreciate that “badging” any particular group is not going to fly.
Nevertheless, for that societal scum layer that calls itself muslim, I can’t shake the feeling that badging them might in fact be a good idea, even if unconstitutional.
Wonder how many OTHER americans are sick enough of the a-holes to have similar feelings?
Even though it’s false it will work in his favor. The Democrat media can be so stupid sometimes.
The beauty is Trump can/will address this in the open public and the media will cover it for him — He isn’t afraid to denounce BS...hummm, wonder why he is so high in the polls.
trump should buy a one minute ad on all the stations reporting this quoting all the fact checks, etc. Put the ads on the Evening programs reporting this. Call them liars.
This is a good idea even if Trump didn’t say it. His #’s will go up.
They’ve made Carson going down in the polls, so now they’re turning their attention to Trump. The vicious lies continue.
That wasn’t meant for you personally, BTW. Badging muslims made me think of ‘here’s your sign.’ I see where it could be misconstrued.
So what if Trump did say that Muslims should wear badges? Are you going to say that confirmed terrorists (aka all Muslims) should be allowed to roam within our borders with impunity?
Next thing you know the MSM will be saying Trump believes the pyramids were for grain storage. :-)
If the media wants these “Refugees” here SO badly, they should open up their own homes to them. Come on CNN, MSNBC, post your home address to your mega mansions in your rich white neighborhoods that you claim to hate so much and let these people in
No need to worry; we stopped believing the MSM years ago. Nothing they have to say carries any weight.
