“Ever been to Waco? Ever even been to Texas?”

As a matter of fact, I’ve been numerous places in Texas. Almost took a job there years ago, but I’m glad I didn’t because it’s not a place that I would care to live. Nice folks though. I probably shouldn’t have responded to you because of your insulting nature, but my opinion of Waco still stands, and there have been posts here on FR from Texans to the effect that what passes for the justice system in McClennan (sp?) county reflects badly on an othewise pretty decent state.

WACO, Texas (AP) - Defense attorneys representing bikers who were arrested after a shooting outside a Texas restaurant say they don’t have access to key evidence because they refuse to sign the district attorney’s unusual agreement to not share it with media.

Attorney Susan Anderson said at a news conference Thursday that the agreement violates the state’s Michael Morton Act, which says prosecutors must permit defense attorneys access - without conditions - to the evidence “as soon as practicable.”

Defense attorneys plan to contest the agreement in court.

Spurt has incurable butthurt because of epic fail to get Waco discussion banned.

Jim, I bring this to your attention due to the many threads posted by bike gang sympathizers in which threats and personal attacks have been issued against many Freepers who challenge the voracity of the claims and arguments posted by these bike gang sympathizers. Are these many and continuing similar threads which are in support of criminal bike gangs like Bandidos, on FR something FR wishes to continue? I hope, like the mass of pro Ron Paul threads, these too can be stopped so FR can be allowed not being lumped in as supporting these outlaw gangs by association.

The cops could have taken out all of the biker murderers

Yeah, but that thin blue line principle keeps them from shooting their bad apples to protect the public.

Well Austin is the seat of Texas’ government, plus it has a state university, so your comment goes wtihout saying!!! Even in the reddest of states, this is probably true.

Get them off the streets.

They were off the streets, numbnuts. They were in a parking lot.

Maybe you are scared of motorcycles.

Riding motorcycles does not make you a "thug".

Wearing leathers (which are protective clothing) is highly recommended.

These people were at a meeting to discuss political issues, event scheduling, and other issues. They were from several different groups, and two thirds of them had no criminal record.

Some thuggery.

You may not be alone in this. Hell, you may be in the majority. You can be assured, however, there are many law abiding motorcyclists (as well as law abiding non-motorcyclists) who care quite deeply what happens to all of them. I am one of those law abiding motorcyclists.

You should care. You may find yourself judged similarly because those around you wore the "wrong" clothing or some other such nonsense. Perhaps it will be your career destroyed and life ruined because of some knee-jerk association with the latest fashionable stereotype.

Republican? Christian? Gun Owner? SUV Driver? Smoker? Anglo Saxon? FReeper?

Letting this brick be added to the wall may lead to your own undoing someday.
