The House didn’t much care for Obama’s veto threat as they passed the American Security Against Foreign Enemies Act that curbs refugees from Iraq and Syria with a bipartisan veto-proof majority:

Exactly. The Senate and Reid will maintain party discipline and sustain the veto. Even if they don’t, BHO will just issue another executive order.

I actually think, this time, if McConnell doesn’t manage to screw it up, he could finally put Obama in a position to have to eat a veto.
Sadly I agree. There are only two weapons the House has that matter-—impeachment and defunding-—and they refuse to use either.
Now, everyone...don’t get your panties in a wad over this. Remember, the Republicans are now playing “good guy, bad guy” so that some of the heat is off the GOPe in the House and the Senate can be the good guy the next time.
You have to remember, lifelong Republicans have a memory span of about a day or two. After that, a whole new world with no history to remember opens up for them once again.

On this bill the Democrat Party members were allowed to vote as they wanted. On a vote to override the veto they will not be and the veto of this bill will stand. Enough will support the veto.
Perhaps the Senate will do the same instead of filibustering.
But the media will praise them for whatever they do.

I think she's starting to wake up. She's a Jew, but a leftist Jew. She represents California, and resided in San Francisco for many years. Only now is she becoming fearful of muslim refugees coming into San Francisco, her hometown.
Looking at the directory of refugee centers for relocating Syrian refugees, in SF, it’s the Jewish Family and Children’s Services of San Francisco. What? This cannot end well, an influx of muslims through a Jewish services center. There are a lot of Jews in SF, and quite a few in that northwest corner of SF where she lives. Uh-oh. Did anyone tell the government that we’re overcrowded with a housing shortage, and 6,000 homeless on the streets? And Obama wants us to give housing to foreign muslims while Americans are homeless? As I mentioned, Feinstein might be waking up and disagreeing with Obama.
Isn’t this what the dems always do when it is something popular with the American people. They allow most dem members vote with the other side and pick one or more in liberal states to keep the status quo. Remember Mary Landreau.
Even if it is passed in the Senate by more than 60 but less than 67, our Dictator in the WHite Mosque will veto it and laugh smugly.
I with he would, it'd be pretty easy too get a stop order from a court since the House pass that bill.
