Ryan plotting 'meaningless show vote' on refugees
WND ^ | 11/18/2015 | Leo Hohmann

House Speaker Paul Ryan is lining up a showdown vote for Thursday on President Obama's plan to resettle 10,000 Syrian refugees in the United States.

But conservatives on Capitol Hill who want to see the refugee program halted are warning that Ryan's plan is nothing but a smokescreen designed to give lip-service while refusing to defund the program.

Ryan likely has no intention of cutting off the flow of Muslim refugees into the U.S., nor does he plan to ensure Syria's persecuted Christian minority gets rescued from the clutches of ISIS, sources told WND.

You believe that most of the posters on here were blind to Paul Ryan and had a crush on him? That is pretty insulting to the majority of the people on this site.

First we had the Weaper of the House, the Crying Cheeto John Boehner. Now we have to put up with Eric Cantor with an attitude the little
Show Pony of the House, Lying Ryan!

History will not speak well of these so called leaders.

We should expect them to do nothing then?

There's a few here that believe claiming they are wise and smart makes it true. Mild comic relief.

“Does he really think any legislation would actually stop Obama from doing what he wants to do?”

Under the Constitution the House of Representatives controls federal spending.

The Syrian refugee program will cost billions of dollars. There is legislation pending to defund the program.

No, but maybe we shouldn't undercut what they are trying to do by assuming that there's some magic vote that would solve everything which they could be taking and aren't. There's no guarantee that what the writer proposes would do much good given the way Obama is.

This how he and the GOPe do business in the face of Donald Trump’s popularity and the grassroots who demand real concrete and meaningful action.

“What we want to do is include the language of our bill in the upcoming omnibus spending bill and cut off all funding,” Babin’s press secretary, Jimmy Milstead, told WND.

If legislation is not attached to the omnibus spending bill it will NOT pass. The vote is purely for show.

If attached to the omnibus, Obama would have to accept it or reject the omnibus, shutting down the government, as if that’s a bad thing.

Ryan, like his predecessor, is offering a preemptive surrender.

They are gutless sellouts.

Ah so. Another Cassandra. Blessed with the gift of prophesy; cursed never to be believed.

Oh well. Live with it. Nobody wants to hear ‘I TOLD YOU SO ‘

The speaker is worthless. What needs to happen is a private meeting where he tells obammy to change his mind or he will start the process detailed in the 25th amendment. According to the amendment, Congress can determine who is required to decide the president is unable to discharge his duties.

And then when obammy rejects it... he needs to start that process.

Well it just means that perhaps my opinion should be taken more respectfully. It would at least cuz less heartbreak when the pedestal falls.

WEll, yeah, Paul Ryan is a meaningless showman in the speaker role.

He will prove to be a disaster. He is not a representative of the people

So Lyin’ Ryan demonstrates once again that his primary profession is prostitution for GOP-E, Wall Street, K Street and to serve as Obozo’s faithful footstool in the Speaker’s Chair. What a surprise!

And rather than do the most obvious thing, that being get their collective crap together behind a conserative, most played asinine games making excuses for how ‘thier’ candidate’s blatant liberalism was really conservative and kept at it until they got the person they wanted. Romney. Then 65 million of them chose to throw their vote away on a loser who then lost and within less than 24 hours reneged on his entire campaign of lies and reverted to the liberal he always was.

The liberal 65,000,000 people willingly chose.

So instead of learning from their mistake, they went and elected a house and senate leader that actually campaigned on working with Obama.

Since that date, Stephenjohnbanker and myself have a 100% prediction rate as to what the GOP will do and what the outcome will be. Our record predates that considerably BTW, but quite a few here have a hard time dealing with the past year’s stunning amd supernatural abilities we have shown.

But God had no special miracle. We simply paid attention and didn’t blow steel foundrairs worth of smoke up our own arses. Which anyone could do. Because the internet is a thing.

No one has an excuse for backing a liberal when a 5 year old can determine the politics of any candidate on the 1st page of a google search. And the internet existed long before Barry ot Mittens ran for president. It existed before Bhoner’s speakership and mitch’s reign of error in the senate.

People that voted for them either wanted them or chose to abandon their responsibility as a citizen. If they do it again, they should be stripped of their vote because clearly they are not responsible enough to have one.

And as a side note, MANY here sold Romney on the idea that RYAN would HOLD HIS FEET TO THE FIRE because RYAN was a CONSERVATIVE.

And they told us if we did not bless the unholy union we hated America and loved obama. Now Ryan has not a friend to be found. Imagine that.

Boner, McConnell, Flake, McCain, and a few others finally got rid of any conservatives in the upper reaches of power in D.C. Cruz is akin to a “freak” now.

I am not a Romney fan and disagree strongly with him on numerous issues. However, Romney is not as incompetent, stupid, and dangerous as Obama. Don’t you see what Obama has done and what he is doing to this country? He hates this country. This is my last comment on this topic.

Thanks 100% to liberals voting to send liberals to the GOP.

All the tratiorous liberals in that party did not just appear in a cloud of unicorn farts. They got there, and did their damage because CANCERvatives put them there ‘no matter what’.

Now, not one of the gutless wonders will take responsibility for their actions and still go on blaming people that stuck to conservative principle and voted for a conservative when election day arrived.

They don’t want to hear it? Tough tookie. I hope they choke on it.
