The EPA is Exploring Regulations on Backyard BBQs
Capitol Confidential ^ | 11/15/2015 | Jack Spencer

A resolution in the Michigan Senate sounds the alarm that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency could soon be meddling with how outdoor barbecue-loving Americans prepare their food. Senate Concurrent Resolution 14 expresses opposition to EPA efforts to acquire a study that could lead to regulations on outdoor grills and barbecues.

The EPA has commissioned a study intended, "To perform research and develop preventative technology that will reduce fine particulate emissions (PM2.5) from residential barbecues. This technology is intended to reduce air pollution as well as health hazards in Southern California, with potential for global application."

Sen. Phil Pavlov, R-St. Clair, and Sen. Tom Casperson, R-Escanaba, are joint sponsors of the resolution.

“We want to prevent another absolutely absurd overreach by the EPA and keep them from getting into our backyards and shutting off our barbecues and grills,” Pavlov said.

Everyone with a grill will have to enclose the entire grill area with an airtight, filtered forced-air ventilating system, making it impossible for anyone not in the 1% to afford one.

It's getting very near time to do some serious ass kickin'.

The Government is so far down our throat and up our a$$ that it would take FOUR REAGAN terms to scale it back.

Like I said in my post, there's no way they could enforce any of this. Everybody could just roll the grill into their garage, open the door about 1/3rd of the way an grill away. How they going to catch you? It would require too much money to try and enforce this in any significant way.

Thank you for referencing that article MichCapCon. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

"Senate Concurrent Resolution 14 expresses opposition [emphasis added] to EPA efforts to acquire a study that could lead to regulations on outdoor grills and barbecues."

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponents Argument

”Expresses opposition” is not a constitutional term. And since the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Senate should know that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate INTRAstate environmental issues, the Senates action on this issue needs to be questioned.

More specifically, are Progressive Movement senators who are up for reelection in 2016 possibly using using phony concerns about barbecue regulations proposed by the constitutionally toothless EPA as camouflage to push Agenda 21 environmental politics while protecting their seats?

The ill-conceived 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and state sovereignty-ignoring Progressive Momement senators along with it.

200 hundred years ago, forests in North America were somewhat depleted to grow grains such as maize(corn) soy-beans and Durham wheat; in lesser amounts, oats, rice and barley. Throughout the 1950/60/70/80 era, The USA supplied the world with grain-products.

Today, the USA is accused of using their abundance to propagate poverty in 3rd world countries.

HUH?

Is it due to the wafting aroma of pork chops, pork ribs, hot dogs, pork brats, and bacon?

Well, that guy over in KY did win his case for taking out the drone his perv neighbor was using to spy on his daughters.

But popping a government drone is another matter. Predators operate well above the range of any rifle. Even Barretts.

And it’s not like EPA agents will show up to confiscate someones grill. They’ll just lay down massive fines. Which will double, triple and quadruple if unpaid. Followed by putting leins on property.

How will they enforce any of this? Will we have a new bureaucracy riding around in cars looking for violators?

Possibly. Strong arming cities and municipalities to issue ordinances and bans with HOAs acting as their spies.

What they will do first is ban, tax, or regular charcoal and Propane.

Then, they will require Weber and other grill MFRs to retrofit their grills with expensive filters and chimneys which will make them ridiculously expensive.

Look, they already banned wood burning stoves. Research how they did that and you will get a clue how this will be done. And make no mistake - this is a DONE DEAL.

The only way to stop this increasing tyranny is to make those attempting to enforce tyranny afraid for their lives. The only way.

Period.

I sincerely believe we are entering an era of massive noncompliance, beyond the level of what we saw during Prohibition.
