After the December 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, President Obama and Democrats in Congress launched a concerted effort to strengthen gun control laws. The centerpiece of their legislative agenda was a proposal that would have closed loopholes in the background check system for purchases online and at gun shows, but other measures - like limiting the size of ammunition magazines and banning military-style semiautomatic assault rifles - were offered as well.

Replace “gun control advocates” with “amnesty opponents”. Solve that problem and watch how everything else falls into place.
If they go after gun manufacturers what is next? Alcohol companies? auto manufacturers?
They fail. They pretty much always fail. Even if “they” are okay on gun control with a microphone in their face or a pencil in their hand they still vote for leaders who are anti-gun.
The NRA tries to play it down the middle, but some of their “scoring” for rats baffles me given the general trend of the DNC. Then again, it’s all about money for the NRA and I suppose there are still some “Southern Democrats” left that donate to them.
So, in other words, all of the Democrats do not respect the 2nd amendment and rather than asking it be changed, they want to create unconstitutional constraints on our right to bear arms. Aside from identifying people that should not own guns, nothing here is even remotely realistic. Maybe they should adopt another tactic, allow everyone lawfully eligible to own guns, to insist on equal recognition of gun rights instead of restricting them from lawful minorities that happen to live in urban areas. Maybe they should end their racist practices.
We already went thru this with alcohol (total prohibition, go overturned, no we’re not going there again).
We’ll get there with cars when “self driving” vehicles becomes seriously viable, when the Left has a reason to think they can get people to stop driving cars (deemed a hazard).
Leftists aren’t happy until they tell people “you’re not allowed to do anything”.
Dems want to confiscate guns so terrorists can kill hundreds in gun free zones.

after last night all non-Mulim countries would do well to let the citizenry arm up to deal with the incoming invasion thats being funded with their own tax dollars. Americans have been arming up for years in anticipation of what we knew was coming at the hands of an embedded domestic enemy.
