Trump bump: New 5-point poll lead over Carson
The Washington Examiner ^ | November 7, 2015 | By Curt Mills

Donald Trump has regained some ground lost to Dr. Ben Carson, Reuters' 5-Day Rolling Poll finds. Trump now leads Carson nationally, 27.7 percent to 22.2 percent.

Marco Rubio is now at 12.3 percent, still third place in the race. Ted Cruz is fourth, 8.6 percent.

Jeb Bush is fifth with 6.7 percent of national support. Carly Fiorina is sixth with 3.8 percent, but is currently beaten by "wouldn't vote," which registers 6.1 percent support.

Chris Christie (3.5 percent), Rand Paul (2.9 percent), John Kasich (2.9 percent), Mike Huckabee (2.8 percent), and Bobby Jindal (1.3 percent) round out the GOP candidates above 1 percent.

Christie and Huckabee were dropped Thursday from the main stage of next week's debate, while Kasich and Paul maintained their positions at the primetime debate. The organizers of that debate used an aggregation of polls to determine who would be included.

“Any Republican candidate who piles on Ben Carson when the leftist media is attacking him, is a candidate I can’t support”

Stupid and inconsistent statement. Does Levine apply that standard to ALL the GOP candidates then? I think not. Levine never has defended Yeb because the leftist media attacked him, did he?

In fact, does that mean we now can’t support ANY GOP candidate who says anything negative about any other GOP candidate, because, after all, the leftist media attacks ALL of them at one time or another?

Sounds to me that Levine is applying his “protection” standard ONLY to Gentle “Lying King” Carson.

Its astroturf that can be ultimately traced to the Republican Establishment.

The hype works with some grassroots voters. The liberal media victim card and they really are the liberal media always works from the days of RIchard NixOn to now.

A lot of religious conservatives (remember Promise Keepers from the 1990’s) love to repent of their racism. God help them to think more about God’s “Top Ten” so they can repent of their greed and lust, among other things.

What better way to deal with one’s racial guilt than to support good ole Dr. Ben.

The GOPe used another surgeon, former Senator Bill Frist of TN, as their front man in the days of Bill Clinton, even made him their Senate leader.

Hard to say exactly.

The analogy I laid out on the Politico story reminded me of a story Bill Clinton’s minions leaked in the 1990’s about the WH steward who cleaned up after his meetings with Lewinsky.

Clinton’s guys backed off the story after the media published it, forcing the media to change its story making the media look bad and trying to help Clinton’s cause.

Clinton’s guys always blamed the leaks about Lewinsky on Ken Starr, the special prosecutor. But one time the late Tim Russert said on NBC’s “Today Show” the Clinton team was behind all the leaks.

Did minions of the GOPe help create the Politico story that had to be edited from a version making Carson look bad??????

Politics at this level-presidential campaign-is pants on the ground down and dirty.

Something to consider

Both Ryan and Carson shot to prominence by a each making single speech against Obama,

Maybe it was all a set up by Obama and the dims/GOPe from the start.

...and the Candy Crowley and Obama episode with Romney

I heard Levin say the very thing posted here and it made me angry. I’ll tell you my theory - Mark wants to endorse Cruz, but wants everyone to think he hasn’t made a decision yet - bull! He knows Trump likes to say things and by making the statement he did - he was gunning for Trump so he wouldn’t have to endorse him. BIngo!! That gives him justification to endorse Cruz. I see through him - I’ve picked up on his “little” hints. Besides, Michael Savage - his nemesis, has come out for Trump - so Levin can’t do it. Just read between the lines.

I know the media is not going away, but I don’t want conservatives being gleeful because the media got rid of someone who was not THEIR candidate, because the better candidates will be next.

That goes for the actual Republican candidates as well. They should not pile on a candidate the lib media attacks because they will be next. The candidates should only criticize their fellow GOP candidates independent from the lib media.

Cruz led the fight against the lib CNBC moderators, and some of the others joined in. That was a proud day for Republicans.

“Media can not take down Trump or Cruz unless they discover some lies or scandals.”

They’ll make stuff up, if they can’t find anything, or go on a witch hunt, as they did with Ben Carson.

“The good doctor embellished his scholarship offer from West Point and got caught.”

I have yet to see anything to prove Ben Carson embellished, and at the very least, you could say the jury is still out.

“Rubio will see NO attacks from media until the convention. They will in fact build him up, because he will be the easiest to take down in general.”

Hillary Clinton has already attacked Rubio.

But I do know what you mean, because the media has always supported GOP “moderates.” Rubio is not my favorite, and he’s not seasoned, and naive about immigration, but he’s not as bad as McRomney, as Rubio has far more conservative values than McCain or Romney.

Yeah but thats verging on a conspiratorial level of the tin hats. You think Carson and the GOP are behind the attacks against Carson??

Bro, it’s pretty obvious from your posts that you like Carson.

That’s cool.

What do you like about him? Make me a convert :)

Carson is the man the 'pub establishment wants to use to take down Trump. Then they will move their man in between a fragmented and split conservative vote

It couldn't be clearer. I have a strong suspicion that almost all of the FR support Dr. Carson has is mischief-makers supporting the scheme.

Dr. Carson's no conservative. I'd have some concern about him teaming up with Jeb's forces of evil to form a large block of voters. That's why the pressure on Dr. Carson has to keep up.

JMHO

Actually, Carson’s not my candidate, though I would take him over Hillary.

I support Cruz. As will most of FR when the Donald, gracefully, bows out :P

No need for anger, FR was for Cruz before Trump and FR will be for Cruz after Trump too.

I'm not foreseeing Trump bowing out.

I supported Cruz with donations when he announced, but I expect to be supporting Cruz and voting for Trump for the primary, Lord willing and the creek don't rise.

Carson’s comments on the pyramids being built to hold grain shows me just what a bad candidate he is.

That is the single most idiotic remark I have heard in years.

In my memory there has never been a trade deal that resulted in lowering US trade deficits. They always do the opposite. All Washington DC originated trade deals are frauds and traitorous. Why? Due to all the hack politicians, “dialed in” lawyers and bottom feeding lobbyists PLUS___ transnational corporations money used to bribe the hacks from both parties. Of course the bribing is done legally via campaign and super-pac donations.
