Dr. Carson on Evolution: ‘No One Has Ever Demonstrated One Species Changing to Another Species’
cnsnews ^

He continued, “Darwin said his whole theory depended on the fossil remains. He said we should be able to line up from a single-cell organism to man, several miles long and just walk right down the fossil trail and see how everything evolved.”

“He [Darwin] said the only reason they didn’t have the fossils was because they were not geologically sophisticated enough, but that we would be in 50 to 100 years,” said Dr. Carson. Well, that was 150 years ago. We still haven’t found them. Where are they? Where are the fossil remains?”

Carson continued, “When you ask the evolutionists about that, they say, ‘Uh, I don’t know where they are, they’re somewhere, they are, we just haven’t found them yet.’ That’s a pretty lame excuse, to be honest with you.”

Earlier in his remarks, Dr. Carson said, “Many people don’t know this but Charles Darwin actually started out in the seminary to become a man of the cloth. He had some experiences with God that didn’t go his way, like his 10-year-old daughter who died of pneumonia despite his pleas.”

Due to the complex relationships between various species of flora and fauna, and between every form of life up and down the chain, it is inconceivable that they could be produced separately.

Most of what is called evolution is merely adaptation. For instance, if you put man into a weightless environment for a long time, the calcium in his bones dissolves and the muscles atrophy. Given long enough , humans would start being born without legs at all.

Adaptation.

“No one has ever demonstrated one species changing to another species”

Yet there are plants in the ocean floor that, come the right time, pull themselves out of the ground and turn into snakes and swim off.

"You have to see it happen, or it doesn't count." If you take that position, or accept Dr. Carson's assertion that it is necessary to demonstrate a species actually changing to another species, then, well, you didn't see the Grand Canyon being made but you know how it happened, right? The only way we can see a rosebud opening--unless you have the patience of a fisherman--is with time-lapse photography. The Burgess shale and evolutionary biology make the doctor's position very difficult to defend. This isn't "faith" we're talking about here, but hard science. If you are requiring an eye-witness, then the only person who really knows may be this trans-species joyful pre-Cambrian tortoise, currently resting and/or pining for the fjords. Helen Thomas photo: Helen Thomas thomastortoise.jpg In any event--evolution. just. doesn't. care.

And an egg turns into a chicken. That is not a transitional species.

The egg is a shell, like a cocoon.

I'm not arguing it's a transitional species, although you have to admit the metamorphosis is a pretty 'magical' thing.

I'm saying that if we didn't have butterflies today, and all we had was fossils of caterpillars and butterflies, would we know they were the same species ?

But no one has ever demonstrated the Earth aging for 4.5 billion years. You have to see it happen, or it doesn't count.

And no one I know lives billions of years, so I doubt anyone will ever see it.

“You think they care about any religion other than Islam or Global Warming? “

Cruz will turn it around on them in a big hurry, if they try to demonize the beliefs of a traditional protestant denomination. That is why it is critical to for the repubs to have a potent debater and rhetorician, so as to be able to refute their secular humanist premises.

He is appealing to the social conservatives and Christians that the GOPe (especially Yeb) openly turned away from.

And that’s why he’s crushing Yeb.

No, there aren’t.

They are not new species created from genetic mutation.

They are the result of cross-breeding.

What in the Sam Hill does evolution have to do with the office of the president?

Why is Carson even answering these questions?

That he is answering these questions is that he is not ready for prime time.

He’s being played for a sucker by the MSM.

The stupid party time after time keeps falling for these sophomoric questions.

Name them and how were they "created?"

Here is something else:

Critics of evolution have always maintained that mutations and selection can only produce new varieties inside a certain species, that one could not have new species emerging via such a process. This idea has finally been empirically rebutted: scientists have now observed the actual emergence of new species.

Written in 2006, nearly 10 years ago.

Carson is correct, actually. BUT,and this is a BIG but, the MSM is going to bog him down endlessly with this issue, which basically is not something that a Presidential candidate needs to be spending his time on. It’s not really an issue that a President can or should be seriously involved in, particularly since it doesn’t seriously affect national policy, unlike the equally bogus “climate change” BS, which DOES impact national policy.

Basically, Carson has opened himself to a tar-baby punching match with his defense of his insane assertion that the Egyptian pyramids were built by Joseph for “grain storage”.

The MSM is going to hound Carson mercilessly now until he utterly destroys himself. Unfortunately for the Democrat super-PAC media, and fortunately for us, Carson will be taken out far too quickly before he can do serious damage to the GOP, and since most of his support (however much that actually might be) is anti-establishment, most of that support should shift to Trump.

You do realize that a metamorphosis has nothing to do with evolving into another species. Yes, it is a miracle created by God.

I know a talapia stock farm in Boise Idaho that when the fry are first hatched he feeds them hormones and changes the entire tank into either female or male.

I flew breed stock for a commercial talapia farm in the 80s and watched the operation.

If the customer wanted female the dipped the fish from the female tank and if they wanted male they dipped them from the male tank.

I flew a couple hundred thousand fish, of all different ages, for the guy and watched the entire operation, It was very interesting!!!
