It's been a big year for the transgender community, thanks in large part to Caitlyn Jenner.
But not every member of the community is 66: Devina Keswani, the youngest of three children in PEOPLE's new web series, The Keswanis: A Most Modern Family, and a proud Girl Scout, is just 6.
"One [of my classmates] hates transgender, and he hates me because I'm transgender," Devina says, adding, "Before that he liked me, but now he hates me. He spits at me and pushes me."

***This phase of a child pretending to be the opposite sex will vanish very quickly,***
Back in the olden days it was common for a mom to dress her baby boy as a girl for several years. When the boy got his first pair of long pants was a day of celebration.
She didn’t “dress him as a girl”. It was standard procedure because it was much easier to access that dirty area when those kids didn’t know how to hold it and use potty. Simple practicality.
As far as what is male/female, lots of cultures have different ways. We all know about kilts, Roman togas (and VARIOUS cultures did/do that - “skirts” for men), etc. Also in old Siam apparently women wore “pants” while men wore “skirts”. Made sense in a way - to protect women from easy access (there that is again).
Sorry for the diversion. Does get one to thinking.
The headline should read, “What it’s like to be a normal 6 year old who is being brainwashed by sick disgusting nutso parents”.
When I was just a bit older than 6, a close relative had a serious illness. So I constantly played that I was an invalid in hospital. I would lie down, and my sister would bring “medicine”, and mime giving me injections. She loved the game, and would get me so worked up, that I felt pain and nearly passed out during a “blood test.”
This is how children learn about roles in life. It is also a way for a child to address anxiety - I was worried about the illness, so I took up that role, and coped with it.
I suppose that soon we will have “transinvalids”, who have to be ill for their entire lives, after playacting as children.
Good one. Wish FR had an upvote button!!!
Yes indeed. Normal veterinarians will flee the insanity and discrimination suits. Imagine the types left over who will be okay with this. ~Shudder~
Qui bono? Follow the money.
Whoa. I can’t believe you said that.
Why's that? Claiming to be transgendered or to have a child who is transgendered seems to be the latest fast track to your own reality show. Ask Caitlyn Jenner or Jazz Jennings.
I'm of the opinion that a number of these "transgender" children are no such thing, but are actually being presented as such by their parents for a chance to get on TV.
