Knew someone with a late stage stomach cancer that is now doing great (10 yrs + later). Seriously....get to MD.

Heavenly Father, We all come before you with a solemn heart and in need of Your intercession. We pray that the cancer that has come into this dear man's life soon fades into a quick remission.
Comfort him upon his sickbed, and ease his suffering. We beg for deliverance, and submit that no healing is too hard for the Lord. We therefore pray that You bless his dear wife erwith peace, comfort and understanding in Your loving name.

We believe in Your loving capacity for miracles, and ask for this on this wife husband's behalf.

Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, grant this Texan the courageous, humble acceptance of the surgery which awaits him, and let this be the relief and cure which he and his family and FRiends seek. I pray you, Lord, that this procedure be without complications and that his recovery will be speedy and complete.

Heavenly Father, You know every fiber of our being and have willed that we were born. I beseech You, Lord, to guide the minds and hands of those who will operate on this Texan so that he may be restored to health and well-being.

Help us, Lord, to pray with all my heart and allow our burden of concern and anxiety and that of this Texan's family to be lifted up with the knowledge that You are with them now and always. And Lord, when he awakes from surgery, take him and his family by your loving hand and guide them towards a life of thanksgiving and peace. As we grow older, I know we become closer to the day you accept us back into your kingdom. We ask that you delay that holy union if it be your will. In your name we pray,
Lord, Your scripture set forth that You heal all diseases and whoever believes in You will not perish but have an everlasting life. Strengthen this husband and wife, Lord, in this time of his illness. Sustain them as he lays sick in his bed. When You were on Earth, you did all things good and healed all kinds of sickness.

Lord of all…this man is suffering, his wife is suffering, we ask to do what is right, good and best for them. As it fits your plan, heal him and mend his body and lovingly grant him days of better health and strength. As his wife waits your grace and blessing please grant her an extra measure of patience, endurance and perseverance. Lord we know You are able to heal. Grant this couple the wisdom to understand Your timing.
Let it be done in Your glory, Lord.
We praise and glorify Your name,

Hey, heading in for the endoscopy and biopsy finally. Lisa brought my laptop so I’ll be able to respond better than on this silly phone.

Hi All,

I'd like to thank you all, Infool7, Tired of Taxes, LUV W, Salvation, Kathy in Alaska, Slings and Arrows, shibumi, and LucyT for pinging your lists! Lisa and I really appreciate it more than you know. Also All the other Freepers who dropped by to run some prayers up the flagpole and share words of encouragement. We haven't settled on a Church yet here in Texas but some dear friends had a pastor and a deacon swing by today for some encouragement and prayers.

I'm Home now! I think the big reason is I don't have any pain associated with the tumors, but the bloating and fluid in my abdomen is pretty uncomfortable, I just don't feel like eating much. I did have the endoscopy this afternoon which found two tumors in my stomach, on constricting the flow of food and drink into my intestines and another one (that looked different) in the same area. We won't get the Biopsy results until Tuesday. They think they have it narrowed to three possibilities, but of course all bets are off until we get the word on Tuesday and figure out how to proceed.

The three tumors they THINK might be there are:

GIST

Lymphoma (My abdominal lymph nodes are all blown up, but not in my neck, which they say is a good sign.)

Adenocarcinoma (Not Good)

I did get some meds for the bloating so I'm peeing a lot. :) Hopefully that will bring some comfort. So right now we are in the waiting game and hope to get some results and start to come up with a game plan Tuesday.

One note about the diagnosis I dropped last night ( inoperable stage 4 cancer around the lining of my abdomen and a cancerous thickness in my stomach wall), I not sure what these doctors are thinking when they drop those bombs on people. Lisa was hospitalized some years back and a guy at the mayo clinic dropped a "You're gonna die," on her after several days of testing that resulted in no clear diagnosis. Thanks doc! Just what I needed to hear! Anyway, I don't think that's the most professional way to handle things, maybe it's just to get the worse case scenario out there early. Again, Lisa and I want to thank you all for you good words and prayers as we go through this new and unexpected adventure. I will shoot some updates as I get them!

Doom-on-you. Interesting moniker. Not exactly a good kind of vibe. Not the ordinary anyway.

Let us all genuinely pray for America and our way of life according to our faith and our Constitution. We must stop the serious erosion of our freedoms. God’s word is available to us and most do not read it much, if ever.

Prayers are our connection to God. Let us trust the LORD. If America is to aid the world we must stand on the values that made us great. Forgive us LORD for our transgressions, we know not what we do. In Jesus name we pray Thank Thee Father for life , liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Praise, honor glory are thine ever. amen.
