MARCO RUBIO BLAMES THE VICTIMS: FOREIGN TECH WORKERS MORE QUALIFIED THAN AMERICANS
Breitbart ^ | October 29, 2015 | Julia Hahn

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% told a nationwide audience in Wednesday’s CNBC Republican presidential debate that companies are importing foreign graduates because American college grads just can’t do the work.

The claim came when CNBC’s John Hardwood asked Rubio if he was undercutting American professionals by supporting a bill to let companies import more foreign temporary H-1B “guest workers” for white-collar jobs. Rubio evaded the question by blaming Americans’ supposed lack of skills.

“We need to get back to training people in this country to do the jobs of the 21st century… The best way to close this gap is to modernize higher education so Americans have the skills for those jobs,” Rubio claimed. The “ideal scenario is to train Americans to do the work, so we don’t have to rely on people from abroad,” Rubio declared.

If he gets elected, the American culture, the America we know, will cease to exist. He will fulfill the Balkanization efforts the leftists began during LBJ.

Rubio is getting on my last nerve.

Enough already about his waitress mom and his janitor dad, or whatever.

He needs to carry a little violin with him wherever he goes.

I’ve had it with foreign leadership. Rubio needs to be sent packing to his own country, ‘cause this one ain’t apparently his.

“FOREIGN TECH WORKERS MORE QUALIFIED THAN AMERICANS”

That is simply not true unless working for half wages means more qualified.

I sit in an office that used to be 60% American citizen, 35% other foreign nationals, and 5% Indian contractors.

We are now 25% American citizen, 35% other foreign nationals, 40% Indian contractors.

The Indian contractors work for a pittance, have few benefits, will be returned to India whenever they are disposed of, and in the mean time displace Americans.

It is purely a labor cost saving device to bring over cheap Indians to replace market-rate Americans.

MARCO RUBIO BLAMES THE VICTIMS: FOREIGN TECH WORKERS MORE QUALIFIED THAN AMERICANS

I'm sure the Nazis made excellent soldiers, but my primary concern for such work is that they be on my side.

Even if Rubio's premise is true, is there not a point to be made in favor of supporting our countrymen? Who begins a debate with the starting premise that foreigners are of equal merit in our eyes with our countrymen?

I reject the premise. We should be supporting US Citizens, especially in these dangerous times and horrible economic conditions.

Call it protectionism if you like, but I thought the inherent assumption of a nation is that the "In" group had privileges that the "out" group doesn't possess. If not, what is the point of being a citizen?

The Rubio H-1B issue has been brought up before. Rubio did not do a good job of addressing it like Trump did. The reason for the foreign tech workers is they work for less money. IMHO Rubio is part of the GOPe.

Just read super PAC supporting Marco Rubio has produced this TV ad likening Rubio’s family story to the promise of Ronald Reagan’s America. I am sooooo sick of immigrant stories.

And while i'm on this topic, I recall that when Patrick Buchanan (Yes, I know, Pat Buchanan...) was running for President he made one very profound point.

Foreign countries who trade with us ought to have to abide by the same set of rules that American companies have to abide by here in the United States.

In the US we hobble our businesses by making them follow all these EPA mandates, and Fair Labor Standards, and Gender/Race quotas, minimum wages, and so forth.

This makes it inherently unfair to our companies for a foreign corporation, who has none of these mandated costs or obligations, to compete in an open market with our businesses that are forced to comply with this stuff.

Say what you will about Kooky Pat Buchanan, but on this, I think he was/is absolutely right.

"Free Trade" as the Globalist Corporation political big donors like it, is unfair to American businesses unless the Foreign companies are hobbled to the same degree as our domestic companies.

Immediately after the debate, Yeb called US Chamber of Commerce president Thomas Donahue and yipped, wagging his tail: “How’d I do? How’d I do?”.
Ecce Mr. Cheap Labor Express.

But it’s still hard to believe how open he is about selling-out American workers.

Rubio is badly needed in Havana to pour drinks at poolside for the American turistas. Let’s send him there. It would be a win-win since he doesn’t want to work in the Senate any longer anyway.
