First, United Nations officials label bacon and deli meats as carcinogens, and now scientists are claiming that higher concentrations of carbon dioxide are not only heating the planet, theyâre making people dumber.
A new study by the Harvard School of Public Health claims âcarbon dioxide (CO2) has a direct and negative impact on human cognition and decision-making,â according to ThinkProgress, a left-wing advocacy website.
Former Vice President Al Gore wasted no time tweeting out ThinkProgressâ in-depth article, trying to link higher carbon dioxide levels to lower cognition in humans.
The Harvard study exposed 24 people to office environments with varying levels of volatile organic compounds as well as varying levels of carbon dioxide over six work days. The study found that for âseven of the nine cognitive function domains, average cognitive scores decreased at each higher level of CO2.â
âCognitive function scores were 15% lower for the moderate CO2 day (~945 ppm) and 50% lower on the day with CO2 concentrations around 1400 ppm than on the two Green+ days,â according to the Harvard study, which claims âgreenâ buildings are better for your health.

Well, on the flip side, trees are becoming smarter.
Something is making scientists dumber.
Gosh, can’t people spell dumberer right?
Al Gore should be tested immediately.
And the Tennessee Two-by-four agrees with me.
(We're already BORN dumb .... think about it)
The only solution is Conservatism!
Government grant money.
You don't have to be smart to be a lap dog, just make your master look good.
Probably not. This is just another example of a scientific sell-out. Grant money and prestige are more important than the truth. Under BHO, the level of scientific corruption has increased dramatically.
Says the scientist after 3 hours of huffing!!!
Introduction to the Scientific Method
The scientific method is the process by which scientists, collectively and over time, endeavor to construct an accurate (that is, reliable, consistent and non-arbitrary) representation of the world.
Recognizing that personal and cultural beliefs influence both our perceptions and our interpretations of natural phenomena, we aim through the use of standard procedures and criteria to minimize those influences when developing a theory.
As a famous scientist once said, “Smart people (like smart lawyers) can come up with very good explanations for mistaken points of view.”
In summary, the scientific method attempts to minimize the influence of bias or prejudice in the EXPERIMENTER when testing an hypothesis or a theory
So... if we could eliminate all CO2, we would all be geniuses.
I’d be more worried about inbreeding.
This is the gift that Bill Clinton gave to America .
People failed to noticed what he was doing to change curriculum in Universities across the country .
A self-proving hypothesis!
What will they think of next?
The scientists can’t get any dumber, so they have nothing to worry about.
Savage was RIGHT about the Seltzer, the science is settled...
LOL: and “right wing watch” needs to apologize to Michael Savage.....
