Calm Manner Has Ben Carson Rising in Polls

Donald J. Trump, who is rarely at a loss for words, admitted “I don’t know what’s going on” when confronted by Ben Carson’s surge past him in early-voting Iowa, where Mr. Trump had led the Republican presidential field for months.

Mr. Trump has derided Mr. Carson for lacking the vigor and fortitude to be president, but voters here are drawn to the retired neurosurgeon’s low-pitched manner.

“That smile and his soft voice makes people very comforted,” said Miriam Greenfield, a farmer in Jewell, Iowa.

Am I the only one that thinks all these polls that show Carson surging and Trump fading is related to Trump’s comments a few weeks ago about getting out if his poll numbers started falling?

I would not put anything past the crooked media and GOPe to fake polls to deflate Trump’s status.

First, judge a candidate on character and accomplishments. I’m always aghast at the people who would support that serial liar, Hillary Clinton. How can you trust what she will do? She will sell you out if it gets her a dollar more. Ben Carson is a man of character. I don’t agree with all of his positions, but he is the least fetid of all the candidates.

The bottom line agenda for the MSM, the left, and the GOPe, is to get Trump.

The polls showing Carson “surging” are the ABC/ New York Times, and quinnipac (sp?)...both with left agendas.

Again, the left is trying to boost the republican they think they can beat, namely Carson.

Over the years, in local, state, and national elections, black candidates are focused on black issues, Carson will be the same.

Personally, I find his “laid back” style creepy. It’s very difficult to ascertain what he really thinks about any given issue, then, his waffling on the issues so far, gives rise to concerns.

He is NOT the man to dig America out of her troubles.

Interesting point. If Hillary is the Dem nominee, as now appears almost certain, opposing her with a candidate of Carson’s “character and accomplishments” might give the GOP a considerable advantage among many voters.

One thing’s sure, everyone, even the Dem voters, know Hillary lies almost every time she tries to defend herself on something. And even her supporters tend to go mute when asked what she’s accomplished.

First, the MSM and the Left would love to run against Trump. That’s why they’ve given him so much free coverage.

Five polls now show Carson well ahead in Iowa (or tied). Only the MSM poll (CBS) has him tied. No one heard these complaints about polling conspiracies when Trump was leading and Trump supporters cite poll after poll wherever he’s still leading. Just sour grapes.

The Left is scared stiff of a Carson nomination. He could potentially seriously cut into the black vote that the Left relies upon for an automatic head start in every Presidential election. A Carson/Martinez ticket would leave the Left catatonic.

I think Carson will do more to help blacks than any other candidate, including Hillary, but he will do it by undoing the programs that have tied them to the Democrat Party for decades now. We’ll see.

Creepy? Really? And you find Trump’s bombastic nonsense stimulating and refreshing no doubt. As for issues, I am much more comfortable that I know where Carson is coming from than I am about Trump, who was donating to Democrats until very recently, and no doubt will be again once he’s out of the race. After all, then they come when he beckons.

The Left would love to run against Carson because they will be running against a candidate who has advocated raising the taxes of over half the people in the country and with replacing Medicare with a voucher system. The campaign commercials write themselves.
