Trump teased Bush, a former Florida governor, for his recent decision to lay off campaign staff and cut salaries by 40 percent, and for his planned retreat with donors in Texas on Sunday.
"Bush has no money, he's meeting today with mommy and daddy, and they're working on his campaign," Trump said at the rally in downtown Jacksonville, Fla.
"He's a guy wants to run our country and he can't even run his own campaign. Think of it," he added.
He also derided Carson, who in some Iowa polls is leading Trump, as "super low on energy."
"He's even lower-energy than Bush," he said.
Trump also took an indirect shot at Carson for his religion.
"Im Presbyterian. Thats down the middle of road, he said. I mean, Seventh-day Adventist I dont know about."
Carson is a Seventh-day Adventist, a Protestant denomination that believes in a literal reading of the Bible.

Trump should challenge Carson because of the Pacifist teachings of the SDA. They are taught not to engage in combat and serve only in noncombatant roles. This is a legitimate issue as to Carson’s ability to be an effective Commander in Chief.
Add to that Carson’s deplorable illegal immigration position, his desire to abolish Medicare and Social Security, his oozy relationship with Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan, and I think Trump has plenty of areas he can attack on policy. That is where his focus should be.
Don’t pick on religion. Not a smart move. He should know better.
The problem with Seventh Day Adventist is they are what were called “Judiazers” in the book of ACTS. They have rejected the Petrine Vision “Arise Peter, kill and eat and do not call what I (God) have cleansed, unclean.
In keeping Judaic food laws they become legalist who believe that salvation is through works not by Grace.
I have had this discussion with many 7th Day Adventist through the years. It isn’t what they believe but what else they believe. Most of them were really nice people and good neighbors but they have some real doctrinal problems.
That said, it is not Dr Carson’s religious affiliation that bothers me. It is his stand on BLM and immigration
Trump loses focus at times and lobs grenades in the wrong direction. This kind of stuff turns me off and I really want to like Trump because he is right on a whole host of issues and looks like the guy who can shake things up the most.
I said 4 months ago that he would eventually alienate enough people to outweigh the gains. I am still open to voting for him, but he needs to be more disciplined with his schtick. Trump - stay focused on the issues because you have the lead. Save your grenades for the other side lest you alienate potential voters. Good business model that he seemed to miss.
I figured EGW had some association (for some period of time), if not officially, with JW, when I first saw that. Influenced by it, I mean.
You don’t believe that the teachings of Ellen G. White carry the same weight as Scripture. I assume you also do not believe that Jesus was the Archangel Michael. There in lies a huge difference.
Yeah, sure. You called it. Yeah...yeah. (s/c)
It’s a bit worse than that... It all started when Miller predicted the second coming in 1844. That did not happen and Ms. White came in to save the day. They have a peculiar doctrine called the Investigative Judgement. It is listed on the website under 28 fundamental beliefs.
A slightly incendiary take:

Nope.
A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
Not buying it.
“Good works” are the pitfall of cults.
Vegetarian low energy?
Yes indeed, they are a cult.
Mormons are even worse off than SDA because they-- from the standpoint of scripture and every orthodox Christian church in the world, whether Protestant or Catholic-- are heretics who preach a false Gospel. The SDA has a similar problem insomuch that it was started by a false prophetess and have all sorts of false teachings, though they at least uphold the Trinity.
Voting for Carson because he is a "Christian" is undermined by his own religion.
Trying to tell The Donald to “keep a tight lip” is like trying to tell a nightingale not to sing.
Whatever comes welling up is going to burst out anyway. And like The Donald, they can go for hours into the evening.
It's valid! Trump is getting beaten up by large swathes of "conservatism" precisely because they believe he is not a true Christian. Carson himself is riding high on posing as an Evangelical Christian.
I don’t take denominations who freeload on others’ military service seriously.
Definitely fair game. Carson said something about Donald’s religious beliefs a while ago and then walked it back.
He’s careful. It just doesn’t LOOK like careful.
