LISTEN: Levin blasts G.W. Bush for Attacking Ted Cruz
Conservative Review ^ | October 20, 2015 | CR Wire

Posted on 10/20/2015 7:19:32 AM PDT by sheikdetailfeather

Over the weekend former President George W. Bush lit into Senator Ted Cruz at a private fundraiser for his brother Jeb! Although this was a private event, it appears the Bush campaign made sure that Politico got the story so that it could become a story. CR Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin returned the favor last night to Bush, as he tore into him on his radio show for withholding fire on Obama but attacking Senator Cruz. -

Levin reminded the audience that the Bush family has a long history of attacking principled conservatives. That it was Bush the elder who attacked Reagan, and his policies throughout the 1980 primary campaign for the presidency.

Cruz gives the same degree of thought as Trump does before he mouths off.

If you are suggesting that Cruz shoots from the hip, you don't know very much about him. He knows exactly what he's saying, why he's saying it and what its impact will be whenever he speaks.

This same George W Bush who chose to “rise above it” and let the ‘rats get away with every smear and deranged assassination fantasy and outright lies about himself (Dan Rather, etc), but attacks Cruz who has never attacked him, because Cruz is a true conservative.

George W. Bush - disappointing...

Bush made himself and his family look like dirt. Clinton is his brother, Obama gets a pass, but he attacks Cruz. Shame on him.

If JEB is able to hang in there until the Texas primary, then what puts the most fear into the GOP elite hearts is for Cruz to trounce JEB in the Texas Primary.

I mean Texas is the residency of two former Presidents named Bush and here comes younger brother JEB and he gets trounced by Cruz in the primary.

The GOP elite will go to any lengths to not let JEB be embarrassed in Texas.

Sounds like GW left Trump alone. He’s smarter than his brother Jeb. Trump is just waiting for Bush to push back again’st his remarks about 911. :-)

Democrats and Republicans have gotten away from the US Constitution and that’s why they hate Cruz.

They have let the sophisticated (properly understood, never a compliment) gobbling in the Academic/Media Complex mislead them down the "primrose path."

The dynamic difference between the American social theory--the approach of the Founding Fathers--and that of all the Leftist Egalitarian folly that is hurtling humanity towards chaos, was that unlike the cloud-borne approach of that Academic/Media Complex, American social theory was grounded in actual Experience & Reason. It was in that grounding that the "miracle" of our achievement was launched. It is being destroyed by poseurs who do not even understand the potential strength of what they are dismantling.

We witness the epic triumph of idiocy over wisdom; of real life Courtiers praising empty headed cloud dancing, by their intellectually naked, neurotic peers.

Like many on FR, I like GW as a person and a patriot and a decent and moral man. Unfortunately, socially and financially he’s a Liberal as are all the Bushes.

I wish he had not attacked fellow Texan/Republican Cruz in a pitiful, losing effort to help his brothers failing campaign.

All I needed to know about the Bush family I learned when they took that impeached, sexual predator and all round criminal scum Bill Clinton to their bosom and started calling a son and brother. Ask yourself if you would ever invite that scumbag into your home or fraternize with him in any way.

“George W. Bush finally pops up, finally speaks out, not in defense of the soldiers in the Middle East, not in defense – like Dick Cheney out there – defending his own policies, not in attacking Obama or how dare he attack the Clinton’s – friends of the family, no! - attacking Ted Cruz, the same way this family attacked Ronald Reagan.”

But that’s the way W always was. All through is presidency. He never criticized dems, even dems raking him over the coals.

At least, unlike President Evil, I had some respect for W as a man. I felt his mistakes were honest.

Now I just think he’s just a better-packaged McConnell with a Texas accent.

100%

It's clear that I have voted for nothing but Exempt/Elitist/Ruling Class RINO's for the last 30 years. NO MORE.

[Sounds like GW left Trump alone.]

And for good reason, Trump would have fired back with all the money the Bush clan asked for and received from him over the years.

Then ALL of the Bush clan would come off as ingrates and deservedly so.

George W. Bush - disappointing...

I really feel like a dumbazz for supporting him his first six years...I bet Rush does too. I heard his monologue the day after the 2006 mid-terms, and the firing of Rumsfeld.

More like a faux Texas accent. George W. Bush was born in New England, and attended the same Connecticut boarding school and university that his father did. He was defeated in a Congressional election by Kent Hance, who emphasized Bush's Ivy League background vs. his own West Texas roots. After that defeat, the younger Bush determined that he would not be out-Texaned again.

The whole family of Bushes are GOPe to the bone. None were truly conservative. They attack true conservatives and refuse to call out the real enemies of America. To heck with ‘em.
