All the Cruz supporters say Trump is "not conservative". That Cruz is the only true conservative

Cruz seems to think the trump supporters are going to go to his side.

So help me out here.

Unlike his supporters, does Cruz think the Trump supporters are conservatives? Or is he planning on exposing his true liberal side thinking, as his supporters do, Trump supporters are liberals?

“There is virtually nothing Trump can say that will cause people to stop supporting him.”

I hope folks know what they are doing. Trump believes in too many liberal issues, such as eminent domain, and tried kick kick a widow out of her house, single payer insurance at the debate, etc..

But most recently he seemed to blame George Bush for 9/11 because it was “under his watch.” Trump should have blamed Bill Clinton for allowing bin ladin to be free multiple times, when Clinton had the chance to capture him.

They didn't like Reagan much either. They're more comfortable with someone they think once fed at the same trough as themselves.

Trump keeps talking loudly on this legal & illegal immigration nightmare he’s going to waltz into the White House.

Every other problem this country has... (and we have massive problems) takes a back seat to putting all immigration on hold. We are literally being invaded by people from third world backwaters that disproportionally take advantage of welfare and vote democrat 4 to 1 over republican and don’t believe in capitalism. If we don’t put a stop to it every part of the country will literally become like California where nearly half the families in the state do not speak English.

In Trumps case he was often the one filling the trough

He talks about this in his speeches

He knows all the players...and is not taking donations from them.

You will know when it reaches the tipping point. The “establishment” supporters will try to outdo each other in the kissing up to Trump department. That is how they will hope to maintain relevancy.

I think, you mean LESS comfortable... because to them it’s personal.

I am a Cruz supporter, and I do not believe I ever said that Trump is not a conservative. I do NOT like when he talks about (recently) giving Planned Parenthood money for the "good stuff they do".He also thought his lefty sister would make a fantastic Supreme Court Justice. He has said nothing to quell my anxiety about his Supreme Court picks.

I believe that Trump supporters are from all across the spectrum, including conservative, which is a GOOD thing.

Some of his other positions (high tariffs on Red China) can be fine conservative positions, and no one else has really staked out that territory.

I don't like you stating that "all Cruz supporters" state that Trump is not a conservative. Others like me have followed Trump's and Cruz' leads, respecting what each man brings to the table.

In a crowded 15 man field, before a single vote has been cast, high single digits is nothing to be ashamed of. I do not expect Trump to drop out. I do expect some GOPe and also-rans to drop out after NH (Kasich, Jindal, Paul, etc.) leaving one or two GOPe (John Ellis Bush, Rubio, Fiorina) to go against the top tier: Trump, Carson and I hope Cruz.

It is good not to chase all of the good guys out until the bad guys are vanquished. John Ellis Bush is a bad guy.

Actually Trump offered the widow TWICE what the property eventually sold for. Trump was making a more than fair offer to that widow. A good case can be made that this was simply a land owner who was holding out for an exorbitantly large settlement simply because she was the last one who hadn’t sold.

Give the single payer thing a rest and LOOK what Trump is supporting NOW the health care reform he has proposed to replace Sh*tbama care is not single payer. How many people have their changed mind on an issue over the years.

Get honest. Look at what he is saying now and look at what he believes now.

Trump is not some type of Crypto liberal who has lied about a position and will then reveal that he is Hitlery in disguise after elected.

What was the exact quote about the sister. I sure hope Trump would take serious advice from the (mostly conservatives) who have been advising him on things presidential to date, because some thought would reveal that lefty judicial activism tends to torpedo “American greatness” more than enhance it. If you can’t know without a fair certainty what the law is going to be, you are going to take less of a long view and worry more about what your bottom line is THIS season.

I hope this was just one of his throwaway compliments that he makes even to people he knows are trouble.

The widow did NOT want to give up her home. In fact she took it to the courts, and WON, and got to keep her home. Eminent domain should be about infrastructure, NOT for a parking lot for Trump’s business.

Also, as recent as the 1st debate Trump admitted he liked single payer, but has been backing down some, I heard.

But no matter what Trump does, some Republicans just don’t care. Be careful what you wish for guys.

All I ask is that you do more research, and be open minded.

Even more confusing.....

Since Trump supporters are constantly accused of being liberal by Cruz supporters, why in the world would Cruz want all those liberal Trump supporters to vote for him?

On a lighter note,

A conservative and a liberal walk into a bar at the same time.

The liberal says “Listen buddy, I am a homosexual, and I demand respect from you, and you better accept my lifestyle”.

The conservative says “whatever my sexual preference is my own business, and I do not demand respect from others about my choices”.

The liberal responds “Another thing, I hate guns, and I demand that you can not possess a gun”.

The conservative says “I do not own a gun, but I have no problem with people owning guns”

The liberal continues “another thing, I am a vegan, and I want all meat products banned”

The conservative replies “I also happen to be a vegan, but I have no problem with others eating meat”.

you get the idea.....liberals and conservatives are quite different.

Dear Dr Sivana,

You mentioned that “ you are a Cruz supporter, and I do not believe I ever said that Trump is not a conservative”......and, that you “don’t like you stating that “all Cruz supporters” state that Trump is not a conservative. Others like me have followed Trump’s and Cruz’ leads, respecting what each man brings to the table”.

First, thank you for being a rare exception. Just take a look back through numerous Trump threads, where (a handful of) Cruz supporters spit out the same, tired line about Trump not being a conservative - and that anyone who supports Trump is showing their true “liberal” colors.

It gets old. Really old...and, honestly, sad. We get that Sen Cruz is not fairing well in the polls, despite his “massive” fundraising abilities and “brilliant” ground game. We don’t go onto Cruz threads and browbeat the fact that he’s low polling, regardless. We, for the most part, either avoid Cruz threads, altogether, or refrain from posting derogatory comments, there.

The size of the crowds attending Trumps rallies pretty much says all that needs to be said about the outpouring of support candidate Trump has. His poll numbers are the additional fortifified proof of his overwhelming approval, nationally.

Again, thank you for being exceptionally polite, as a Cruz supporter, when it comes to your comments regarding Trump.

Lines got blurred when the theory was taken up that granting land to a supposedly tax revenue generating enterprise would be a public use. This could be argued either way. The very fact that the Kelo proposal itself failed (the would be builder pulled out) should be a warning about foolish uses of ED.

“There is virtually nothing Trump can say that will cause people to stop supporting him.”

If he flips on immigration, I’ll look elsewhere. But that’s about it, because if we lose that issue, nothing else matters, as we’ll be outvoted for generations (as in California).

Lol. If ¡Jeb! was the one with these poll numbers, or crowds - which would NEVER happen - the media would’ve all but coronated him, by now.

It is even worse than that. On a rare occasion, I ventured into a Cruz thread, and posted a positive comment about the senator.

Guess what, one of the Cruz supporters who frequents Trump threads and berates us Trump supporters as “liberals”, actually replied to my positive post “stop slobbering over Cruz”!

Can’t win with Cruz supporters! The dichotomy is senator Cruz has never said anything nasty about Trump. So strange to have such bifurcation between Cruz and his supporters.

Trump at this still early stage seems to be pulling more of “We The People” into the political game.

It does little good to be even to the right of Attila The Hun if your national parade is short. Where are the people ready to be? Looks like they may be more ready to be in Trumpville than in Cruzville. Conservatives can still make much hay even under a Trump sun, however. Trump has shown himself to be a listener to people making good cases. Cruz has “arrived” and advice isn’t moving him, even where he could stand to improve.
