we have to because Charles Krauthammer and the Fox Special report panel says we have to
I bet he wishes FR had an edit button after your clarification ;-)
That is what agrees with what i heard. Davis is a hero of conscience, and is not to be thrown under the bus for this tactical move. What i criticize them for doing is meeting the pope and accepting rosary beads from him (they said they would give them away).
Actually, they are not valid. Everyone is just pretending that they are.
State law does require her name on the license.
The no-brainier solution is to have another county that is not objecting to the extinctionist said marriage to issue the license.
But the extinctionist said do not want that. They want to hammer her and send a message to the rest of us.
and let us not forget Saul who was an Executioner (who later became Paul) =)
AMEN!!
Her personal history tainted as it is becomes another matter but she hasn’t caved
just because she is cleaning up the marriage form to where her name, etc. doesn’t appear
thereon. If the courts and others want to declare that form legal in the state of KY then
so be it. Davis didn’t declare that in her position.
If the Gov of Kentucky had any balls at all, He would have pushed the State Legislature to pass a law mandating that ALL Marriages SHALL be performed by any Federal Judge residing or working within the boundaries of the State of Kentucky.
Then start JAILING the Federal Judges for Contempt when they cannot perform their LEGALLY REQUIRED DUTIES under Kentucky State Law.
If you do not salute the flag of Sodom when faced with it or asked, you will face economic sanctions, and more severe penalties in time.
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? (Daniel 3:15)
...that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. (Acts 14:22)
She became a Christian after her last marriage. Don’t bear false witness.
Liked your post...another example...
...the leaders of the early church the Apostles were as the last of all, like men sentenced to death, they become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men...fools for Christs sake, weak...held in disrepute....they went hungry and thirsty, they were poorly dressed and buffeted and homeless, they labored working with their own hands....they became like the scum of the world, the refuse of all things. 1 Cor 4
You forgot Paul’s conversion from Christian-killer.
Splendid line-up, makes me smile and say “Praise God!” I’ll probably be quoting it sometime, but I will be sure to attribute it to you, my FReeper friend!
We live in a country where practically nobody is resisting this sodomy-abomination; and if one Kentucky lady is willing to resist and spend 5 days in jail, my hat's off to her.
She makes us other 318 million Americans look like wimps. Because I'm afraid we are, God help us.
I would say to her exactly what Pope Francis said (but I hope without all the maddening clerico-bafflegab equivocations): "Thank you for your courage! Stay strong! and pray for me."
