I don’t face east in prayer
I face towards altar like most folks
I’ll be buried facing south
No question of that
But if your ecclesiastical architect knew what he was doing, your church would be build with the altar at the east end, which is why when the priest faces the altar (or rather faces the Holy Table in the altar) with his back to the congregation as is done in Orthodox Liturgies and was done in the old Tridentine rite before Vatican II, he is said to be “serving ad orientem”.
