With abortion as a sacrament....yea
Funerals....
at what point will there cease to e episcopal funerals because the is no one left to attend?
Of course. Any ideology that is contrary to human nature and doesn't believe in God is self limiting.
Part of the price of being stylish and embracing trendy crap such as queer marriage.
That'll stop as soon as gay marriage becomes old news.
Just write Ichabod on the door and be done with it.
I used to be an Episcopalian. But these days, they are just a place for Godless liberals to socialize on Sunday mornings before the football games start.
The Episcoliberal church.
I thought “inclusiveness” was going to fill the churches.
left there nearly a decade ago and have not looked back.
For the few conservatives who have stayed, their motto is “This is my church; fu*k the home office”.
And, with the Roman Catholic Church soon allowing the divorced, oops, I mean those with newly annulled marriages, to remarry and receive Communion, much of the recruited membership of recent years will disappear.
Only God knows what the Episcopal Church will do to be more “liberal” than the RC Church now. I don’t see them going to Satanic rites immediately. Maybe some intermediate form of Gaia worship?
But . . . but . . . libs always tell us that the churches must be “relevant” by supporting abortion and gay marriage, and that this will make the churches attractive to young people. What it really tells young people is that there is no need for a church if the church simply apes secular trends and fashions.
I pray genuine Christians of any and all Bible- honest denominations can outreach, go evangelize at episcopal and pcusa and other “lost” “churches” — and that the “wolves in sheeps clothes” episcopal and pcusa clerics may be “outted” ASAP. Missions overseas are great but there are some tremendous needs here at home
In Burlington Vt, a group of the truly faithful have removed themselves from St Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral. They have been taken in by the local Greek Orthodox church where their hosts allow them to conduct services not approved by the Vermont diocese or the Episcopal Church USA. These faithful believe the Bible is the inspired word of God.
My son is an Episcopal priest. They did minister to him more in his teenage years when our Baptist minister was too distracted to do so. - I hope and pray he gets out of it soon; not that I’m all that enthralled with the Baptist church. I will say, though, that at least for now, our current preacher seems to stay on message; but the derned Democrats in the congregation will not tolerate any challenge to their Democrat religion by the preacher or anyone else. - In that former Baptist church, that preacher took that church down a questionable road; totally rebelled against the original group that hired him and ended up creating a whole new denomination.
Self-limiting and self-destructive.
Easy divorce, abortion on demand, male-bashing, homosexuality-endorsing. What can go wrong?
They have some really nice buildings that actual believing Christian churches might be able to snatch up at a bargain.
