Life in top tier tests Rubio (3rd Quarter Fundraising Disaster)
Politico ^ | 10/10/15 | DANIEL STRAUSS

For months, Marco Rubio has run a low-key campaign, designed to keep a slow and steady pace. The past two weeks explain why.

RIding a post-debate high in the polls, the newly threatening Rubio suddenly became a 2016 pin cushion, pierced by friends (Jeb Bush), rivals (Donald Trump) and strangers (Harvard professor Lawrence Lessig) alike.

On Thursday evening, the ascendant Florida senator got whacked again as news of his surprisingly anemic quarterly fundraising went public -- he raised just $6 million between the end of June and the end of September, hardly the haul of a candidate with a bead on the GOP nomination.

It was twice as much as struggling Sen. Rand Paul raised, but only half as much as another Senate rival, Ted Cruz. Rubio wasn't even in the same ballpark as first-time candidate Ben Carson, who announced $20 million in contributions.

Rubio appears to be another two faced politician on the issue of amnesty.

Marco Rubio is Jeb Bush without the honesty.

Rubio’s only accomplishment in Congress has been to betray the American people. His record on immigration and Obamatrade demonstrate that there is nothing Rubio will not say - and no lie Rubio will not tell - in order to deliver for his donors.

Marco Rubio is Chuck Schumer’s amnesty pitchman. Rubio was hired to shove amnesty through the Senate by putting his face on Obama’s bill.

Marco Rubio ended his political career when he schemed with Schumer against the citizens.

I’m surprised Rubio has not gotten more money. Maybe his fundraisers are asking the wrong people or have already waited too long. If Rubio wants to inspire a new Money Bomb, he’s going to have to say or do something to bring beneficial attention to himself or to one of his causes. Some candidates know how to self promote better than others’
i.e. Trump and Carly, who use their larger than life personalities. While others such as Scott Walker or Rand Paul, seem to run out of steam and ideas early in the game.
I expected Rand to be farther along, but he doesn’t appeal to everybody. Rand appeal to the Libertarians less than his dad, because of perceived inconsistancies in his opinions.

Question...

Do not Aspirants for Political office get to keep all monies “raised” (ostensibly legally of course) if they are in a race and then drop out??

Please respond

Thx

.
>> “Rubio is not in the top tier.” <<

Bold understatement.

He is a part of the party elite, because he is an amnesty sellout.

Just received the following from him which was sent to one of my bogus email addresses:

Hi, Fellow Conservative —

I’ve got a few minutes to spare before my next event here in Nevada today, and just wanted to give you a quick update on what I’ve been up to.

Last Saturday, I was home in Miami for my sons’ football games — my most important job is being a father and husband. Sunday was more family time.

Then on Monday I was off to New York City for a visit to the New York Stock Exchange and media interviews on CNBC and Fox News. Tuesday was an early start with the Today Show, Fox & Friends, and then a speech about the importance of getting Washington out of the way of building a 21st century economy. After all that, it was off to New Hampshire, where we had a great house party Tuesday night, visited a tech firm on Wednesday, and had a couple packed town halls.

Thursday and Friday, I’ve been in southern Nevada for more rallies with overflow crowds.

You can tell it’s been a busy week. That’s what I signed up for and I know it’s worth it.

Will you help me out and chip in with a quick donation right now?

I’ll check back in with my team after my next event in Nevada and I hope your name is on the list because I can’t do it without you, Fellow Conservative.

Thanks!

Marco

P.S. We’re building a great operation all across the country, and we won’t be able to do that without your support. Can you click here to give right now?”

I thought his most important job was being a Conservative Senator!!

Rubio didn’t “Scheme with Schumer.”

Rubio boldly campaigned proclaiming he would work to pass a blanket amnesty bill from the very beginning.

He told English speaking audiences a different story, but the contrast was there. I participated in numerous threads on the topic and there were links to video of his speeches to La Raza and told other Spanish speaking venues where he outlined his amnesty plans. He couldn’t be telling the truth to his Spanish speaking audiences and to his English speaking audiences at the same time.

The people who voted for him fall into four categories:

People who want amnesty.
People who make decisions with zero research.
People who wanted a fantasy and refused outright to hear truth that countered their fantasy.
People who were willing to gamble on a proven liar, and who hoped the other folks would turn out to be the ones he was lying to.

There is no other category of Rubio voter.
One hundred percent fall into one of those categories.

At any rate Rubio’s perfidy is inherent and nobody enviegled him into the gang of eight. Amnesty was always his goal.

But that is the very problem with ALL Libertarian candidates, in that their smaller government philosophy means there is little they can exchange specifically for the donation in terms of a vote on a bill.
