Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson defended his controversial remarks this morning in which he suggested that 6 million Jews would not have been slaughtered if they had easy access to guns.
“I think the likelihood of Hitler being able to accomplish his goals would have been greatly diminished if the people had been armed,” Carson said on CNN Thursday. “I’m telling you there is a reason these dictatorial people take guns first."
The Anti-Defamation League condemned the comments, saying in a statement: “Ben Carson has a right to his views on gun control, but the notion that Hitler’s gun-control policy contributed to the Holocaust is historically inaccurate. The small number of personal firearms available to Germany’s Jews in 1938 could in no way have stopped the totalitarian power of the Nazi German state.”
Carson called the Anti-Defamation League’s statement this morning “total foolishness.”

The German Jewish population in 1933 was about 500,000. By the time the of the eventual roundup of the Jews during the war, the overwhelming majority of the 65 million other Germans had no problem with Hitler or his actions. The idea that looser gun control could have made a difference in opposing the German army, the SS, the Gestapo, and the civil police is absolutely ridiculous.
There were half a million Jews in Germany on one side, and 65 million Germans on the other. I think the results would have been the same.

These people don't want us disarmed for our safety, they want us disarmed for theirs. It is a blatant lie that disarming a populace makes them safer. Common sense tells us this, history shows us this. When you lib lurkers out there advocate for "gun control" or support those who do, you are buying into the lie. That, or you support the fascists. Either way, you are un-American and anti-American. You do not get to call yourself freedom-loving, accepting, etc. You are a fascist, or a fascist supporter. Think about it. Yes freedom and liberty are messy, even dangerous and onerous at times. That's what comes with personal responsibility and accountability. It's not easy, but the alternative ultimately is servitude to a master. Choose wisely.
Except there probably would have been a hell of a lot fewer living Germans at the end.

Such a deed might have set off murderous reprisals against German Jews, but German Jews were a small percentage of Holocaust victims. 95% were in areas Germany invaded or controlled due to the war: Poland, Eastern Europe, Ukraine, etc.

Hitler came to power because everyone who opposed him stood around like sheep and let him. Everyone from the Steel Helmets to the Communists simply did not resist. Hitler and the Nazis isolated and took down each possible resistance center 1 by 1.
Things may of gone much different if even one group had seriously tired to effectively resist the Nazis.
It utterly stupid, to advocate like you do, that it was BETTER for the Jews to not resist. Considering what happened in the Camps, resistance from the Jews probably would of failed, but the results would of been no worse then what actually happened

The German army was a paper tiger early-on and the SA was intent on mowing down Hitler's opposition. An insurrection at home could very well have altered history.
where a small number of Jews (many of them not even adult), occupied the German army for weeks with a tiny amount of mostly obsolete guns, making Hitler and his army a laughingstock to the rest of Europe.
