Constantinople and the Bosphorus has been the dream of every Tsar since Peter the Great
I am wonder if the following is confused...with this post?????
Ankara bombing: At least 30 killed, scores injured in blasts outside train station in Turkey’s capital
MiG-31
MiG-29
A B61 variant (dash 11) is still around, it seems - it was the various warheads which have been retired (W81, W84, W85) - the current version uses the W80 warhead{http://nuclearweaponarchive.org/Usa/Weapons/B61.html}.
Good point. I’d imagine the Turks would use any excuse they could get to shoot down a Syrian plane, IF they had the excuse...
It’s also possible the rebels managed to shoot down a Syrian plane that got too low. All those MANPADS from Libya went somewhere.
Does anyone know if the reports that the Russian planes are only bombing from high altitude are true? That would tend to indicate that the Russkies do believe the rebels have MANPADS.
?even though Russia is fighting ISIS which happens to be the enemy, our enemy, that Oboe refuses to fight to win? This whole mess just turned into a fuster cluck. Obama’s negligence and incompetence sits at the root of it all.
” . . . while three fighter jets were hovering above. “
I didn’t know the Russians had a version of a Harrier!
But by reading the account, three Russian jets were loitering above the area and then something blows up on the ground. Imagine that, jets carrying bombs in a war zone and something nearby blows up. What will they think of next?
Not enough information to draw any clear indication what really happened.
First to fight for Nato will be the French air in the region
Uh, yea but the U.S has to actually follow through, as do the other countries.
Turkey shoots down Russian Migs? My imagination can come up with scenarios where Turkey deliberately pulls us into a conflict with Russia as part of a dark subterfuge in the Islamic world to bring about world conflict.
I’m not calling you out on these numbers. I’m curious where you pull them from. I’m looking to see if there is an index of sort on raw industrial products like rolled steel, rubber, heavy textile, foundries for other metals like Aluminum, titanium — as part of an effort to measure war capability in a protracted conflict.
The zer0 will offer to pay for it and toss in a few hoes for ‘puti.
I agree in part, but wasn’t Turkey very important to the U.S during the Reagan administration?
Also, Cyprus, another remnant of European adventurism. Look at it on the map. It’s so far removed from Greece and Western Europe and within a zone of Islamic influence. It must have some huge strategic value to the West.
Or the muslim brotherhood.....for the obummer's sake...or any other Christian murdering raghead....
MHO....
No carriers in the Med either.
Obama is not bound by treaty, law, or honor.
Russians are known for being unprofessional but talented pilots.
They lack discipline, if this didn’t happen, it is only a matter of time.
US used to store about 60 B-61s at Incirlik as part of the NATO nuclear weapons sharing agreement. They were US use owned, maintained and for use. After the Turks screwed us in 2003 we moved them to Aviano, IT, Belgium, and UK, and Germany.
Yep....totally forgot about Pakistan. My bad.
Still doesn’t make me feel any better.
Your inclination is that of everyone, so long as we suffer the skirt in the White House and are under the high heel of Brack Obamao. Trump can’t get in soon enough to suit me, turned loose to restore our ferocious military, materials and military technology, and to give us time to think and build up. God be with us.
