Just felt like a victory lap was called for. You know who posted the FR article on McCarthy's "alleged" adultery?

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3341101/posts

Of course, I found internet articles confirming the rumor I had heard, so real credit must go to Breitbart, GotNews and Haymaker for uncovering the scandal back when McCarthy had just been chosen... but I was amazed no-one was running with this as a way of opposing McCarthy and his liberalism. So I turned to the best source I know of to get people talking about important things.

So of course, despite my cheekiness, the real thanks goes to Jim Robinson.

I have seen no one besides GotNews saying this.

Affairs are so common-place among DC politicians that it didn’t stand out to the DC insiders. I guess it’s like Boehner’s hardcore drinking didn’t stand out to a lot of them either for the same reason.

A well known affair and yet...everyone in DC was "shocked" at his announcement.

Maybe McCarthy heard from the same White House thugs who threatened Boehner. The WH needs a compliant congress. If bribery doesn't work, then go with coercion.

Actually, I believe that cotton1706 is the one who deserves the victory lap since he was the first or one of the first to post the original story back on January 23.

It was Johnson mostly.

Daily Haymaker constantly gives Ellmers the Trump treatment, rightfully calling her bimbo.

Chuck Johnson brings down what would have been the third most powerful man in US politics...but still is not allowed to post on Twitter. SMH

Dick Cheney endorses Kevin McCarthy for Speaker

“I've known Kevin McCarthy for many years. He is a good man and a strong leader. As a man of the House and a former member of the House leadership, I know that Kevin McCarthy is the person we need as Speaker in these dangerous and important times.”

How poignant, the man with two DUIs is vouching for Mr. McCarthy's character.

Imho it's way past time for a third party.

Newt couldn’t keep his pants zipped, either, yet he was the darling of many on FR in 2012 and is being promoted now for Speaker.

Democrats used to be the part of double standards, but now Republicans are similarly Slouching Toward Gomorrah (RIP, Robert Bork).
