Ted Cruz weighed in on Syria this morning and the recent escalation by Russia to support Assad and Iran. He says at this point we should stop trying to bring Sunnis and Shias together to act like brothers and lay down their arms and that we should stop engaging in the fiction of trying to find ‘moderate rebels’ to train and support.
Cruz says our focus should be ISIS and we should target and destroy them with overwhelming air power.

0bama will instead cede all of the Middle East to Russia, as necessary, to ensure the U.S. loses.

We can’t find any “moderate” muslim forces because *we* are the moderating influence there. Where we send our special forces guys in to lead and coordinate muslim forces on the ground, as with the Northern Alliance or the “Surge”, you have “moderate” muslims. When you just arm them and turn them loose on their enemies, you have ISIS crucifying Christians for recreation.
We do need to make a decision to deal with ISIS, and that means killing every one of them. People who have done what they have done cannot be permitted to return to normal life. Think of them as Amelek. They have to go.
If you want “moderate” forces to bring down Assad, you have to lead them. Without western influences, there aren’t any moderates, in the muslim world the word doesn’t really have any meaning.
I notice he hasn’t forgotten about the chaos in Iraq or our reliable allies the Kurds.

We have cr** intelligence. Same as Iraq. Obama said...”I didn’t even know” about ISIS. Well, bs....Iraq asked for help and Obama said...no...this is just a little civil war...and you have to settle it yourself.
Russia, China, Iran will do the job in Syria. Iraq has asked for their assistance also.
Cruz demonstrated gravitas, and is able to articulate complex problems is a reasoned but forceful way.

The best spin is that we are naive to believe that there are moderates in the Muslim world that have any real influence over anything. The alternative explanation is that Obama just uses that as a cover for the real goal, which is to support the spread of radical Islam.
