Should Obama beat Clinton to her own gun fight? (barf alert)

After nine people were killed at an Oregon community college last week, Hillary Rodham Clinton expressed a new attitude on gun control. She sounds a lot like President Barack Obama's new attitude on immigration: If Congress doesn't act, she says, she will.

"This epidemic of gun violence," the Democratic presidential candidate said, "knows no boundaries, knows no limits of any kind."

She seemed to choke back tears as she introduced the mother of a 6-year-old boy killed in the Newtown, Conn., school shooting almost three years ago.

With that she showed both the urgency and the futility of today's national gun debate. If the slaughter of 20 schoolchildren and six adults by one deranged gunman failed to move this Congress to pass such common-sense gun safety measures as universal background checks, can anything?

Since Newtown, today's Congress has only become more conservative as Republicans and, it often seems, the National Rifle Association have gained control of both houses

If these idiot dems Clinton and 0bama think a few idiots misusing guns is an epidemic of violence, wait until they try taking them away from the law-abiding people who have done nothing wrong except believe in the Second Amendment.

Just because some moron gets elected to a position of power, however small it may be, too many self-deluded politicians think all of their bad ideas will be swallowed whole by an unwitting populace. We know their aim is not public safety, if it was they'd go after the criminals causing these problems. It's about disarming the civilian population to gain their desired stranglehold of control and nothing less will do.

They actually don't think that at all. They're just trying to exploit a tragedy to advance their goal as stated many times by democrats, "A society where only the police and military are armed." They really don't dislike guns at all. I notice the zero isn't disarming the SS. They only dislike us having guns.

A cynic (and who isn't a cynic after watching the performance of the turd in the white hut) would say that the reason liberals advocate gun free zones is to facilitate this sort of killing spree so that they have propaganda material for their anti-gun totalitarian agenda. It's the only rational explanation that makes sense since it has been shown repeatedly that gun free zones are safe target rich environments for murderers
