The Russian supremo ordered the deployment of soldiers from his fearsome Spetsnaz unit to root out and eliminate packs of fleeing jihadis.
A battalion of elite paratroopers also ghosted into the war-torn country this week as Putin ramps up his assault on the Islamist fanatics and rebel forces fighting to topple dictator Bashar al-Assad.
The deployment of the Spetsnaz - the elite of the elite in Russia's army who have to undergo a gruelling training programme to earn their stripes - is the latest example of the megalomaniac leader's ruthless determination to shore up the rule of his close ally.'

That's my take on it....
Understanding Obama is Sunni, like most of the middle east.
I thought one great benefit would be letting the ‘migrants’ return to their homeland, leaving the West alone.
A Russian orthodox bishop has called for a holy war against the jihadis. Saudi clerics are calling for a holy war against Iran, Syria, & Russia. Once again it is Sunnis vs. Shiites, with the Russians playing the part of the invader infidels. This war could get much much bigger.
The USSR had the Spetznaz in Afghanistan along with the firepower & technology. They still lost. Urban ambushes, IEDs, & suicide bombers will be just as effective against the Russians/Iranians as they have been against the Americans.
The lunacy of the Middle east will not be easily solved; certainly not by a combo of Russian aggression & Iranian religious zealotry. Historically, only bloody wars that exhaust the combatants physically & mentally end the fighting, often with no resolution. Such was the Soviet/Afghan war & the Iran/Iraq war; soon the Allied effort in Afghanistan.
The one bright spot is that our enemies are fighting & killing each other. Those radicals with a thirst for blood are & will be getting it in gallons of their own blood. War will be expensive for Russia & Iran, neither having excess money to waste, just as it has been expensive for the USA. We spent hundreds of billions of dollars, lost too many lives as well as crippled many more. Seven years later, any gains we made in the ME have evaporated.
So I am content for the time being to watch a bunch of bad guys kill each other; & thankful our incompetent coward of a CinC is not leading us into battle flying the Rainbow flag.
EVERYTHING obama does either:
a) Weakens America/AmericansThere are NO counter examples.
b) Distances America's allies
c) Strengthens America's enemies
d) Attacks Christianity
e) Serves Islam
f) Harms Israel
Or some combination of the above.
They’re keeping the deployment of spetznaz totally secret, and it’s being kept secret by the international press as they report it worldwide.
Put aside all of Glenn Beck's stuff and hear me out. Apparently he had a show with Marcus Lutrell and some of his Spec-Op buds on and in a round table they said something to the effect give me 300 operators ( I may have the number wrong ) and X number of months ( I don't remember the exact number ) and we will clean out the rats nest.
Funny thing this their common sense is being initiated by Putin, and not our current POTUS....

Let Israel and Russia handle the crazies. They can do it. What we need to do is spend our efforts developing our own oil resources so we need nothing from there, including 'migrants' - unless they are Christians then they aren't part of the crazy crowd.
Put a total ban on Muslim immigration to prevent any more of these potential killers coming into our country. Look what they are already doing to Europe and they haven't even gotten started yet. Importing them here is like importing cockroaches and black mambas and letting them loose in your nursery.

Under this administration American special ops would be dispatched to support the anti-Assad, anti-Christian and other minorities, forces and end up having one enemy in front of them and a worse one at their backs. No thanks. McCain, Fiorina, et al are worse than idiots. And as for the Russian air attacks I’d suggest we stop the futile threats and sit back to watch their personnel, equipment, and tactics in action. Anything we glean will be useful information to have for future “situations”.
