As I recall, he also claimed that he was eventually successful in getting Clinton to use the "talking points" in a meeting with a high Saudi official.
However, after revealing the evidence of Saudi complicity in the bombing, Clinton immediately changed the subject...and asked for a substantial contribution to the DNC.
Freeh professed that he was "shocked".
Some of his difficulties are in the story including Clinton and Clintonista denials winning out in the media over his earlier claims. He is now proven correct and the Clinton lies/coverups once again exposed.
I disagree about that one. The more likely scenario if a cover up occurred was the plane was shot down by a naval missile. Having said that, it does appear that the Clinton Administration was worried about it being terrorism.
But they must 'want' to take it back first.
