I am thankful that Congress had the foresight to include the phrase when it did. Decreeing this nation as “One nation under God” is one reason why America has not gone under.
If I recall right(?), it was added in ‘54? I’m sure I’ll be corrected. :>}
And the commie plan to take over America goes on...
The fact that declarations or decrees are spiritually powerful may be the reason behind diminishing the importance of the flag and the Pledge.
The weird thing is, when I learned the pledge it did NOT include “under God” and to this day I still stumble at that part. Not that I don’t think it was a needed addition, it’s just the way I memorized it as a kid. (Guess I’m aging myself huh?) :>}

We must be close to the same age. I learned the pledge in first grade and we said it every day, then in second grade, “under God” was added.
1947/68 and gettin’ older. Not old. Older.

I was teaching first grade in Boston in 1954-1955.
The phrase “under God” was added, and the Salk vaccine was introduced.
It was a very busy school year.

Whoever’s doing the hiring in the Jackson Hole school district needs to find a new vocation more suitable to their skills. Sorting paperclips comes to mind.
Bears/woods? Does Dolly Parton sleep on her back? Does a one legged duck swim in a circle? Do the Clinton’s have an offshore account?
I remember being bused to the county seat to get polio shots, later on, booster shots, then came the oral vaccines, a little sugar cube with the vaccine in or on them. - a lot better for a kid than getting jabbed in the arm.
In my small school, there were kids who had polio and had to wear cumbersome leg braces.
” Do the Clinton’s have an offshore account?” No, dey be broke remember? Talk about bald face liars. Yeow!
Will the principal cancel black history month if it makes other students feel left out?
What are the immigrant students here for if they don´t feel like Americans? Charge them tuition for attending public school if they don´t want to be American.
