Poll: Should Christians Arm Themselves?

Some people seems to think that Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey of Tennessee said something controversial when he suggested that these are troubled times; that Christians are under attack, and that it would be wise for Christians to obtain a concealed carry permit and be willing to defend themselves.  From the timesfreepress.com:

“Whether the perpetrators are motivated by aggressive secularism, jihadist extremism or racial supremacy, their targets remain the same: Christians and defenders of the West,” he wrote.

“While this is not the time for widespread panic,” Ramsey added, “it is a time to prepare. I would encourage my fellow Christians who are serious about their faith to think about getting a handgun carry permit. I have always believed that it is better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it. “Our enemies are armed,” he added. “We must do likewise.”

Always go to historical records and data.

Nearly all founding fathers that put the 2nd amendment into place were Christians.

Nuff said.

Looks like Tennessee is one of the last places with sane individuals.

IMHO

I’m not sure what law, regulation, or Constitutional point, gave us 50 state drivers license acceptability, but no law, or regulation should be needed to ensure the same with concealed or open carry. In fact allowing the Fed the power to make it possible is power they do not need, for the power to make it happen and the power to deny is the same power.

The Federal government has the power to enforce the Bill of Rights under the 14th Amendment, and permits (arguably) under the “Full Faith and Credit” clause.

Luke 22”36 He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

Psalm 144:
Blessed be the Lord my rock, who teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.

Yep, praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.

Yes, because “prayer is not enough.”

“Carry permit?” Do people who “report” the news need a permit? Do we need a permit to form a church? Do we need a permit to gather several or even many people in the same place?

Constitutional carry is the only way to go.

Do we need a permit to form a church?

Not to form one, but in many places to hold services and almost everywhere to build one, yes. Another set of violations of the Bill of Rights.
