Background checks for private transfers is defacto registration. The gov will know who owns every transferred firearm and the owner will be accountable for it when they decide to confiscate them (claiming it was lost in a boating accident won’t help you).

Well.....the 4473 form registers the point of initial sale, that’s all. A citizen does not have to file a 4473 when selling a gun. Hillary wants to change all that but right now the law allows unregulated private sales.
If BATFE knocks on your door with a stack of 4473s you can legally say “I sold all those guns”. No record keeping necessary.
Might still get beaten up & imprisoned by jackbooted government thugs but the law is on your side.

My post was specifically about background checks for private transfers which the RATS are pushing in more and more states. NY does this under the “safe act” which is a huge PIA. They also have required background checks for ammo sales but this has not started yet. Never the less many online ammo sellers wont ship to private homes.

military style is a description nothing else. It does not shot any faster and better anymore anything then any other style rifle.. EVERY weapon is an assault weapon. If you attack someone and shot them with a .22 caliber you will be charged with “assault”.

It is state wide in NY. Ammunition transfers can be performed by FFLs (for an extra fee) and some have made arrangements with ammo supply companies mail online orders from customers to the ffl.
