GOP Operative On Donald Trump: “He’s Most Likely Finished.”
DC Whispers ^ | 10-04-2015

Posted on 10/04/2015 10:14:28 PM PDT by Kevin in California

A longtime Republican operative, though not directly involved in what they described as a “significant” operation to dismantle the Donald Trump campaign, has indicated Mr. Trump’s chances of actually winning the GOP nomination have been significantly reduced and will likely lead to the termination of Trump 2016 in the not-too-distant future.

GOP Operative On Donald Trump: “He’s Most Likely Finished.”

That's like the Germans asking the Allies in 1945 if they were ready to give up yet.

I am a rock solid conservative but will never contribute to my own demise by voting for another damn RINO. Let the left put a Sanders or Clinton in office if they have enough votes to do so. I will go third party rather than Bush or Kasich.

Most of Trump's numbers are a result of his name recognition, (years of being all over the news and on reality TV), the very generous media coverage, and most importantly...hitting the exact chord on illegal immigration. I was a Trump fist pumper too in the beginning listening to him bash the establishment, (I loathe Jeb), but eventually i expected he'd start to look presidential, would start to talk substance, and yet he hasn't. Trump seems incapable of MAKING THE CASE for conservatism, unlike Cruz or even Carson. I watched his interview on Stephanopolus, (sp?), yesterday, once again HOPING he'd surprise me and yet it was the same old blather. Once again he gave the dems more talking points, biggest one being that the middle east disaster we face today is due to us going into Iraq in the first place, (apparently it has nothing to do with the vacuum Obama created). Isn't that the stance of Bernie Sanders? He proudly professes and reminds us all that he was against the Iraq war. Whatever. The rest of what he said was his usual superficial crap. Interestingly he still doesn't seem like he REALLY wants this. There is just something in his tone, maybe it's something he lacks, but I just get the feeling that this might have gone farther than he is even comfortable with. For the first time he has started mentioning, "if I start doing bad in the polls...then...". This was never even something he considered or made mention of in the past. In the end I will hold my nose and vote for whoever the repub is....trump, cruz, or even...gag...bush. But if the last election has taught us anything, it's that staying home and forfeiting the election to the dems, is putting your own selfish agenda above the country. Love him or hate him, had Romney won, the world would be a much different place today, and the country would be as well.

The known liar Rubio is the GOPe candidate now. JEB is finished. I’ll also note that Walkers people went to the lying amnesty pimp Rubio. So much for Walker not being an establishment candidate.

"But that does not mean the issues he has raised will be finished too."

Absolutely incorrect. If Trump goes down his issues go down, that is why the 'establishment" is fighting so hard to take Trump down.

I'm with you, but in the end, that's what they want. Their candidate (either Jeb or Hillary) will be in the White House. There's no way around it, in this election or the next 100, as long as money is "speech".

“It is likely no coincidence that this most recent anti-Trump story from within the Republican power structure came in conjunction with an uptick in Mitt Romney-related news, much of it Fox News generated.”

I noticed some Willard fluffing here at the same time.

Wow! I have never seen a campaign ‘die’ so many times!! I expect 50 more ‘deaths’ before Trump is inaugerated!

Yup.

When Trump enters the White House, we will have to call his the Jesus Campaign.

It keeps rising from the dead.

“Trump may or may not be finished.”

Has there ever been a presidential primary campaign where the front runner’s status is proof he is finished?

I just noticed on the Today show; they are saying that Trump is over.

They keep playing his bit about dropping out if his poll numbers sank. Trump specifically mentioned a 2 or 3% rating (and he mentioned that when he started his campaign) but they are making out it means if he only slightly falls in the polls.

It won’t work.

“Trump is his own worst enemy.”

And you say that while he towers in the polls? It is the media that says that Trump is his own worst enemy. It is a smear.

“The constant childish insults are and will continue holding him back from breaking out of the pack.”

He has been in the lead for months, by double digits in most polls, LOL!

Trump has already broke out of the pack. He is the leader of the pack. Nobody else is.

Your constant spreading of manure is pretty sickening.

All you focus on is that one Value Voter Summit as if that is all that matters. Very few even heard about it.

Geesh
