“He bought Putin’s excuse.”

You are buying Obama’s excuse not to attack ISIS.

>> We need a president obsessed with his ratings because of Obama? <<

Absolutely. Two wrongs always make a right, doncha know?

Besides, Dear Leader Trump can do no wrong. You need to get over it.

Seek professional help for your Trump hating.

I don't hate Trump. Actually I like the guy. There are not that many people that I actually hate or dislike. I still don't want Trump to be my President. I love my uncle Gerald. He has opinions both that I agree with and those that I disagree. He is a good old guy. I would have to vote against him if his name was on the ballot, as much as I love him.

As to you, when I decide to seek professional help, I will rely on the advice of someone I respect and not someone merely passing wind.

He has explained that. He doesn’t want to be the guy who engineered the Verrezano Bridge and has to stand there and watch the politicians take all the credit.

I have watched people blowing their own horn all the years I have been in New York and those were the people who moved ahead. It’s a deliberate decision on Trump’s part.

So killing ISIS is bad now according to some.

Yes, the Trump Haters consider it bad if Trump is for allowing Putin to continue killing ISIS. The haters are more concerned about Trump’s vanity than ISIS.

Which is why I understood what Trump was saying in that Russia bombing ISIS was a good thing

Because he had no intent on bombing ISIS. Putin may throw a bomb that direction, but he is more interested in propping Assad and keeping the port. Putin has no problem with ISIS taking Iraq, Saudi, Jordan, Israel and Lebanon. Do you?

ISIS is interested in toppling Assad. What about that is a mystery?

“Putin is allied with every bad-guy muslim government and group that threatens the West.”

Really? Can you prove that out?

I seem to recall an incident in Beslan a few years ago where Putin was not so aligned with the ‘bad guys’

Good grief. You spend days, if not weeks, on FR hearing about how incompetent McCain is . . . and then someone posts a photo thinking that it is dispositive of something.

Isis is strong because Barry and VJ wanted it.

And Putin. He rolled out the KGB red carpet to get the Chechen jihadis out of Russia and into ISIS via Turkey.

Don’t take everything about ISIS at face value, FRiend. They’re way too theatrical to be legit. I don’t buy any one particular narrative about them. Who really knows the story, IMO.

Our old pal McCain took that photo with the Syrian rebels we had been arming and supporting. One of the men in the photo just happened to be an ISIS leader.

I just never felt very comfortable with the “rebels” we were supporting to overthrow Assad.

She has no solution. She is posting away just to Trash Trump. Nothing more.

And what is your solution old beta male? What position to you present yourself to Putin, the Alpha male. Is it the downward dog position? That is where we are heading under the Trump position.

Trump is definitely running an attract the low info voters campaign with his shallow foreign policy statements. Judging by the amount of checkers players here, it’s probably a smart move on his part not to get bogged down in foreign policy campaign gum flapping.

They are interested in much more than that. For the most part they are not even fighting Assad or have you noticed. The groups Russia is attacking are not a part of ISIS.

You know... I realize that Assad has been “unkind” to the dissidents in his country. And, at some level(it makes a good excuse) we don’t like that and are trying to “save” the young people over there. What I don’t understand is why the Saudi’s give a rip who is in charge in Syria?

Are you so sure? The incompetence and carnage that ensued pretty much guaranteed that Putin won't claim anything to do with it.

Ya know...I started out liking Trump’s toughness and assorted proclamations about the failure of Washington reps to follow through with promises re: Obamacare, Illegal Immigration, etc. HOWEVER, after less than a month, I was struck by this man’s overall shallowness, not just as it relates to his incessant name calling but his policy positions as well. I honestly get the feeling that he’s making much of it up as he goes along. Just a few days before he declared that he opposed bringing Syrian refugees to the United States, he said that he didn’t see how we could NOT allow at least some of them to come here. In addition, his EGO is soooooooooo huge that it seems like he can’t get beyond it much of the time. Anyone challenges him and he responds with frank childishness and mud throwing. I have visions of him sticking his tongue out at foreign leaders.

I have considered other candidates. I’m impressed with Ben Carson and, while it appears that a number of people here, aren’t fond of Rubio, I see him as far more conservative than Trump or most of the others in the field and I’m really impressed with how well he articulates the conservative message. He’s also a likable guy. And I’m impressed with Fiorina as well. As for Cruz, the rebel in him has turned a lot of people off and, while I admire his principled approach, I honestly do not think he would fare that well in the general election.
