Krauthammer: In Syria, Putin eats Obama’s lunch
bostonherald.com ^ | 10/04/2015 | Charles Krauthammer

Edited on 10/04/2015 2:55:29 PM PDT by Sidebar Moderator. [history]

If it had the wit, the Obama administration would be not angered, but appropriately humiliated. President Obama has, once again, been totally outmaneuvered by Vladimir Putin. Two days earlier at the United Nations, Obama had welcomed the return, in force, of the Russian military to the Middle East

The feckless fool on the hill continues his decent into the unique and never before explored halls of complete and utter buffoonery and flecklessness.

Nah. Zero eats everyone's lunch, that way Moochelle can force-feed public school students that load of crap she sez is so good for them. In that context, she's the US equivalent of the dictator of North Korea.

Why doesn’t Krauthammer give even a one sentence comment on the mass murder of Christians in Syria?

Shouldn’t this factor into his critique on policy, especially when the Christians there have been BEGGING us for years to stop funding and training the rebels?

The USA has allowed their politicians and foreign policy to be bought by Qatar and Saudi arabia, whose proxy groups are not Nusra nor ISIS but have been mass murdering Christians and other Syrian minorities.

The idea that these groups would bring a government to Syria that is better for Syrian minorities is absurd.

The USA also turned a blind eye to Turkey, which has been bombing the hell out of the Kurds.

Why does Krauthammer pretend that ISIS is the only terrorist group in Syria?

Surely Al Nusra fits the bill, which is Al Qaeda aligned.
Why no commentary on US trained rebels fighting side by side with Nusra?

Why no comment on how US rebels gave up their weapons to known terrorist groups, with many of them joining those groups?

I really feel the media has been misinforming people badly on Syria

Krauthammer is of the opinion that Putin is taking something from Obama, pushing him around, exploiting our president.

Why does anyone assume Putin is doing something that Obama doesn't like; doesn't want to happen?

Some seasons back Putin was promised that after the 2012 elections Obama would be free to give up more territory to the communists. And that is exactly the way it has gone done. Obama is not angry. Obama is happy.

The Kremlin was sending fighter planes, air-to-air missiles and SA-22 anti-aircraft batteries. Against an Islamic State that has no air force, no planes, no helicopters?

Well, our "moderate" Syrian rebel allies don't have any of those either. In fact, no rebel group has such equipment. So what is Krauthammer's point?

Oh wait, I think I know. The "moderate" rebels are the good guys. No, Chuck, that's discredited neocon thinking. There are no good guys in Syria.

I wonder if Kraut and his buddies are still impressed with that crease in Obama’s pants? Kraut used to love the way Obama talked.

I’ll never forget Krauthammer describing Obama’s debate performance as “elegant” in 2008. I thought that it sure was easy to impress Charles.

Yeah, I have never forgotten that. Some people are so smitten with a person that has a way with words.

I guess a teleprompter didn’t even matter. The words were delivered with such eloquence.

New FR rule: when someone writes a good column, we need to reminded of some alleged violation of True Conservative™ protocol.

Doesn't bother me at all. I can still criticize it.

Good is in the eye of the beholder.

I know you always have to be right, except when you are not.

That is fine too.
