CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Former President Bill Clinton, in a keynote address to West Virginia Democrats on Friday night, touched on background checks for gun owners in the wake of the Oregon community college mass shooting.
“Those of us who grew up in hunting country—and who believe the 2nd Amendment guarantees everybody the right to keep a gun to go hunting, to sports shoot and to protect themselves and their families—most of us think it’s crazy that we don’t do background checks,” Clinton said.
Ticket sales for the party’s Jefferson-Jackson fundraising dinner spiked upon news of Clinton’s appearance. About 2,000 people packed into the Charleston Civic Center. The speech followed a rousing introduction from U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, who called Clinton “the best president we’ve ever had.”

Manchin pissed off a lot of West Virginians when he stuck his nose into gun control. People don’t forget. He did the same when he waffled over the Iran giveaway. That pissed of folks too.

I am not a criminal and can go buy anything I want. If I were a criminal I also know where to go to get anything that I want but will have to pay more for it. As a non criminal if I decided to commit a crime I would not buy a weapon from a licensed gun dealer. That background check is a record period. I would go to a certain part of my town and pay extra for a weapon that could never be traced to me.
This begs the question, "How effective are background checks in reducing crime?" Criminals steal their weapons or buy them illegally.
The only solution to gun crime is the total confiscation of all guns. When and if this happens, bow down to your dictator and may the chains of tyranny on your shoulders remind you every day of your pitiful existence and the horrible error you made.

After liberals STOP all Gun Violence in Chicago and other Democrat run hellholes with their ‘oh so brilliant’ ideas, then they can talk about disarming honest law biding citizens in the rest of the country.
California is a good example of how more gun laws and fewer guns do not automatically equal less crime.
