McCain reacted to Russia's announcement that it had begun launching air strikes targeting ISIS militants in Syria by calling on the White House to arm Syrian rebels with weapons to shoot down Russian planes.
McCain initially responded to Fox News host Neil Cavuto's question about whether he would shoot down Russian planes by saying no, but then went on to assert that he would arm Syrian rebels to carry out that very same task.
"I might do what we did in Afghanistan many years ago, to give those guys the ability to shoot down those planes, that equipment is available," said McCain, adding that the Free Syrian Army would shoot down the planes," just like the Afghans shot down Russian planes after Russia invaded Afghanistan."

McCain is for upgrading the American program of arming and training ISIS personnel. It is preferred that those so armed and financed should first identify as something else until they are armed and financed, then they can officially join ISIS.
It pains me to no end to say it but I think he could actually have been worse than Obama. :(
Yes, I wish someone would post that picture too. I wish that I could send a copy of it every day to McCain’s office, but his lackeys would probably make sure he never saw it anyway.
The Russians doing this is probably a bad thing on a number of levels, but I find myself rooting for them too.

Syria has been a Russian client state since the 1950s. The Russians have had a naval base in Syria since at least the 1970s. Russia is gaining nothing is the ME that they did NOT all ready have. All they are doing is propping up their client Assad.
The Cold War is over. We won. Russia no longer has millions of conscripted Ukraine, Eastern Europeans and other enslaved soldiers sitting on the Elba River in Germany waiting to invade the West.
What is left of Russia is a rump state without the means to resurrect the glories of it lost empire. It like the Byzantine Empire in the Middle Ages. It has neither the power nor the wealth to be anything but a 2nd string player on the world stage.
Does John McCain know that most of the weapons we have given to the "moderates" are now in the hands of ISIS?
We gave them the ability to shoot down planes and much more. The "moderates" run and leave all their equipment and weapons behind for the enemy to collect. Or, alternately, the "moderates" change their mind and join the other side.

Someone please post the “double face-palm” image. Senile old John wants to arm the folks who will turn their MANPADs over to Al Qaida or ISIS, which (in turn) will use them against our aircraft. What a strategist. And I’m sure his sock puppet Linda Graham will offer his/her support shortly.

Well I disagree. Russian alliances with Syria and now Iran is a very dangerous proposition. Not for me because I am on the downslope of life but for my grandkids absolutely.
Iran, Russia and China are what I worry about. ISIS is less of a threat exponentially.

Does this fool know what would be involved in trying to make this work? We spent tons of money and got what- five loyal fighters out of it? How would we vet the people we turned these weapons over to? I can’t wait until this fraud is gone.
