Umpqua Community College was/is the local college attended by ... one of the 3 U.S. Heroes who took down the jihadist gunman on the train in France recently. [He] was enrolled in this current fall semester (per his Facebook), however he cancelled his classes and took time off to take advantage of an opportunity and complete in Dancing With The Stars.

Was this an act of Jihadist Retaliation?

You know, I would like to think I wouldn’t deny my Christianity to save my own butt, but with two kids and a husband and family... I honestly can’t say if it would mean I would live. I think more should be made of the heroic college students that didn’t deny their faith. The girl that told the story about the ones shot in the head, the others must have realized the pattern of Christians being shot this way. What courage. Of course Obama said nothing about that. Of course in college I always wore a scoop neck shirt and my gold cross necklace. It would have given me away.

What the heck does atheism have to do with it. So far the only indications are that he may have had Islamic connections. In a very odd coincidence, it turns out that one of the 3 men who stopped the train jihadists in Europe went to that exact school. I doubt an Islamic connection. He shot Christians in the head, and shot unbelievers in the legs. Why would a Muslim do that? If he were Muslim, he would have killed them all.

He was a mentally troubled young American. It seems obvious that he hated Christians, but I don’t think he would have behaved like a Muslim by shooting all. More info needed, and of course he is dead now, so it may be slow in coming.
