Putin’s forces hit the oil distribution, cutting off funds and competition. They showed they have no qualms about bombing mosques, the center of resistance. They also hit the bumbling US effort to oust Assad. I can see where a Syrian ambassador would think this great.

And how effective have 40 years of supplying Syria with Soviet and Russian weaponry been? Missiles, SCUDS, Tanks, and so on??

Oh, I see how effective it has been, Syria’s airforce has had to drop barrel bombs from helicopters.

“PC” bombing vs “Non-PC” bombing. One doesn’t work. One does.

obama ,and Bush before him, destabilized the Middle East by removing the secular thugs in charge and creating opportunty for the Muslim Brotherhood.

Remember the Iranian ayatollahs murdered more people in their first month of rule than the Shah in his entire reign. Wow! Is THAT progress?

The syrians sold all that stuff. That's why they had to resort to barrel bombs.

Two Big Differences:

1) They are fighting to win - we are “fighting” for appearance.

2) Their military is leading the fight - our community organizer insists on a politically correct war.

I am sure the Assad regime sees it that way, because the Russians are bombing everybody that doesn’t support Assad.

Syria can bomb them if they desire. They don’t need us or the Russians to do that.

War is serious business. It should not be confused with “nation building”.

Since WWII our leaders some how became to believe that you can commit your armed forces without a real purpose in mind and with enough rules of engagements that would guarantee even if you had a goal, the military could not meet it.

If a nation is not prepared to do what it takes to win a war, they should not even think of starting one.

Our men and women in the military deserve better leadership (both in the military and in our government). I am sadden on how many young lives have been lost or destroyed with nothing to show for it.

We have the means to win, but like Korea and Viet Nam our leadership choose not to win.
