Donald Trump’s ‘humane’ 1950s model for deportation, ‘Operation Wetback’, was anything but

In Mexicali, Mexico, temperatures can reach 125 degrees as heat envelops an arid desert. Without a body of water nearby to moderate the climate, the heavy sun is relentless and deadly.
During the summer of 1955, this is where hundreds of thousands of Mexicans were dumped after being discovered as migrants who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally. Unloaded from buses and trucks carrying several times their capacity, the deportees stumbled into the Mexicali streets with few possessions and no way of getting home.
This was strategic: the more obscure the destination within the Mexican interior, the less opportunities they would have to return to America. But the tactic also proved to be dangerous, as the migrants were left without resources to survive.
After one such round-up and transfer in July, 88 people died from heat stroke.
At another drop-off point in Nuevo Laredo, the migrants were brought like cows into the desert...

Unloaded from buses and trucks carrying several times their capacity Apparently Yanan has never ridden a bus in Mexico.

Raise the penalty for illegal invasion to death. Then the invaders won’t have to suffer. They will simply die. It’s the humane thing to do.

It appears the method used provided a strong disincentive for a return appearance, unlike the current catch and release awaiting trial program.

Mexicali isn’t in the “interior of Mexico”, it’s on the California border across the fence from the US city, Calexico. California’s Imperial Valley has thousands of Latino farm workers who spend all day working crops in those “125 degree temperatures”. The primary reason for deporting them to Mexicali was because it’s the closed Mexican city to where they were picked up.

When you are tough on illegal aliens, you will get fewer of them.

The tactical push from the U.S. Border Patrol was initiated by then-Attorney General Herbert Brownell, Jr., who told officers to shoot point-blank wetbacks attempting to enter America.

"Trump could put them on nice jumbo jets for free flights to Mexicos capital city. AC all the way."
The costs of that would be awesome, terrible and wonderful. The resulting defaults, repudiations and final deposition of the political/regulator class would certainly solve some real problems. Peace, quiet and free productivity in many thousands of new small shops at last.

A cost benefit analysis (vs the economy) of flying them there may be good in the long run. Libs can’t say it’s not inhumane. Plenty of jumbos sitting in some South West boneyard. 300 to 400 poeple for each flight, and fast and quick flying them far away from the border.
INS or the Border Patrol do it now on a small scale unless Obama terminated the program.

Didnt take take long for the rabid leftists to attack this, as expected. My suggestion to them is for them to enter Mexico or any other Central American country with no papers and no money, with the intent to leach off the government for food, housing, medical and money. After they are released from their prison term, if they survive the beatings by the citizens and guards, let's see what they think of Americas policies then.

It's impossible for a sane person to argue against Trump's position on this issue.
At least as stated here.
