Larry Kudlow on Trump's Tax Plan: I Really Like It
Newsmax ^ | September 29,2015 | Larry Kudlow

Posted on 09/29/2015 7:59:28 PM PDT by Hojczyk

Kudlow, who hosts his own syndicated radio show, has long championed a 15 percent corporate tax rate, but "I never thought I'd see a candidate do it. Special: Not Transferring a Credit Card Balance Is a Big Mistake "It'll give us a gigantic advantage. Bring capital and businesses to the U.S., make us the most hospitable place to invest — and that's what Donald Trump has done."

Republicans are currently split over whether to defund Planned Parenthood in the budget talks, even if it could lead to another federal government shutdown. The 16-day partial closing of the government in 2012 cost taxpayers $1.4 billion.

"Nobody likes, really loves, government shutdowns, including me," Kudlow told Malzberg. "I'm not proposing that we have five of them in a row.

"But I will say this, sometimes you have to make a statement, OK? You've got to make a point. You've got to tell people what your beliefs are.

"One of the problems here with the Republican grass-roots is that the base is very angry at the Washington leadership in the House and Senate because it hasn't done what it said it would do: namely, create a bunch of bills like tax reform and Obamacare and energy and immigration, put them on the president, and let him veto it.

"So, then, we go off to 2016," Kudlow added, and that "people, including myself, are frustrated."

Cruz is Not flashy but he is one of the smartest men running. Trump needs him—his knowledge and wit could be the difference between a good presidency and a great one.
Cruz should meet with Trump and outline some programs. Ted is no Dittohead!

“right — so far Cruz hasn’t polled worth squat. Not sure this country really deserves a Ted Cruz. It seems to want celebrities like Obama, Oprah and Trump.”

Well, then it’s a good thing that the Republican Party finally has a candidate that can be considered a celebrity and that appeals to the public. Ronald Reagan was the last one we had, and that was long, long ago. Trump has the same star quality, thank goodness and he is on our side. Otherwise we would be presented with 16 boring choices. Be glad we have Trump, or else we would have very little personality-wise to offer.

He just doesn’t have it in him to appeal to a broad audience. He just doesn’t have it in him to appeal to a broad audience.

You've never seen him work a large audience have you?

So far as Cruz is concerned, one of the problems with the "debate" format is the lectern and fixed mike arrangement. Cruz doesn't use note and prefers, however, to move around the entire stage, with a wireless mike.

When he can be mobile, he becomes very animated and passionate.

I can appreciate his preference. Back when I was making presentations, that was my preference, as well.

Being chained to a fixed mike and a useless lectern really cramps his style.

Because Trump is the proven and tested conservative of the two?

Maybe because his is establishing conservative principles for his campaign policies?

That is what gets one called a RINO, around these parts. Usually.
