Putin: "We can no longer tolerate the current state of affairs in the world"

EW YORK - Russian President Vladimir Putin took a defiant tone in his highly-anticipated United Nations address on Monday, ahead of a planned meeting with President Barack Obama.

Putin spent much of the speech delivering the Russian perspective on world affairs, which he said is nothing more than "honest and frank." Putin dismissed many Western officials' expressed fears about Russian expansionism, saying the Kremlin has been accused too often of "growing ambitions."

"It's not about Russia's ambitions but recognition of the fact that we can no longer tolerate the current state of affairs in the world," Putin said.

The Russian president also mocked Western ideals and how they were applied to the Arab Spring, singling out Libya as an example of how things can go wrong. Instead of the promise of democratic reform, "we got violence, poverty and social disaster," Putin said.

Putin said the "export of revolutions" continue to fail.

I hope when they meet, Putin gets up and slaps the snot out of Obama.

Obama has transformed America into a poisonous entity, pushing and promoting homosex and depravity throughout the globe. As if our own sick media culture wasn’t doing enough of that already.

“Putin is about to pwn Obama totally.”

Love to be a fly-on-the-wall during the Putin-Obama meeting later today. It was obvious during Obama’s speech that he is trying to butch up.

Jimmy Carter, once again, has been relieved of his title as “Worst President EVER”

LOL- how did he do this year?

I think there was one year where almost none of his picks made it out of the first round, wasn’t there?

{Looks like another time I agree with Putin over Obama.}

In some ways their communist/tyrant is better than our communist/tyrant.

“When you’re right, you’re right. He’s still expansionist but his ‘story’ sells well.”

The US has deployed troops globally in states that represented no realistic threat to the homeland since 1945. Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Somalia, Iraq, Kosovo, Panama, Dominican Republic, and Grenada. We’ve also deployed air power to bomb other nations in order to effect regime change. Would that be considered “expansionist”? It seems the US is in a poor position to assume a position of moral superiority versus Putin.

In the meantime, with the exception of attacking Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, we have consistently failed to project force when the homeland was threatened. We allowed Castro to hold onto power 90 miles from our shoreline. We took no action against the Saudi Arabian oil boycotts of the 1970’s. We did not use force when our embassy was seized by Iran. We have allowed Mexico and Central American nations to send millions of their citizens across our southern border and settle in the US. We have encouraged radicalized Muslims to settle inside the US. We’ve done nothing to shut down the mosques and Islamic terrorist training centers inside our own country.

Unlike our last four presidents (Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, and Obama) who have facilitated the invasion of the homeland across the southern border, Putin does put the interests of his nation, and its citizens, above the desires of other nations and the global elites.

So America being responsible arming terrorists that killed our own soldiers and a lot of others is OK with you? Because thats what Obama and the GOP did.

“Obama has transformed America into a poisonous entity, pushing and promoting homosex and depravity throughout the globe.”

As I have said before:

When the Ex-Soviet, Ex-KGB, President of Russia holds the moral high ground over the President of the United States, repeatedly, over several years, you REALLY know we are completely screwed.

Oh how the world has changed. Russia is the moral voice in the world and the U.S.A. is led by losers.

“I’m not sure how much Putin will be able to spend on his world awakening.”

Yeh Putey is pretty deep into his egg money in the Ukraine misadventure. But hey I’m with Trump let him help fight ISIS and the Syrian rebels. If Assad gets overthrown we are talking the usual; mullahs and sharia law. I vote to keep Assad.

If Putin goes bankrupt fighting in Syria then hey its all good. :-)

Yup. For some reason, Many here want America to be world cop while bitching how broke we are. Some people don’t seem to see the inherent problem with America acting like the British Empire.

We have NO business there that cannot be fixed via B-52 if it comes to that. Short of another 9/11, let them fight their own wars and we need to stay on our side of the pond.

He's (Putin) still expansionist

You know what? Assume I were living in one of the poorer countries of Eastern Europe, being forced by Merkel and her gang of EU thugs with being over=run by hordes of invaders. Who would I rather have defending me...the EU and its NATO army or Putin? Duhhh....Putin.

ISIS/L has a foothold in Libya, but has not consolidated control there, yet.
