Further, a corporation that doesn't produce anything of value. I an incensed when GE, Lockheed, Northrop, Boeing, are overcharging the taxpayer, but they at least produce something of value. Planned parenthood produces nothing of value.

Keeping in mind I hate PP for all the reasons all of you do, but what is the end game for shutting down the gov’t over PP funding? It will pass the House, but fail in the Senate for want of 6 votes. Then what? We go eye to eye with the Dems and BHO. Neither side will budge - for the moment. Then the real life political consequences hit, and someone will give in. Who will that someone be?
Not BHO, because it’s all about his ego -country be damned. As always, we will feel the public wrath and real political damage will ensue. Ultimately, we will cave because of the heat and, after all, we put the country first.
So, after all the pain, BHO gets what he wants.
It would be different if we could get it passed the Senate. Let him veto it and hold up the budget. Then he will take the heat.

for the House of Representatives
to shut down the Federal Government?
If not the federal funding of abortion,
if not the over-sized federal budget,
if not our middle east foreign policy,
if not our immigration policy,
if not violations of the 1st amendment,
if not violations of the 2nd amendment,
if not violations of the 9th amendment,
if not violations of the 10th amendment,
then, what would it take?
Is there nothing worth taking a stand on?
The 435 members of the House of Representatives
are each elected locally by their individual districts.
They “represent” the voices of the people in their districts.
Is the Federal Government so important that what
“We the People” want is irrelevant?
Shut it down.

If Congress had returned to regular order and passed individual appropriation bills rather than an omnibus continuing resolution there were not be a shutdown. At most only a single department would be effected, not the entire government. By allowing the Democrats to block this regular order of individual appropriation bills the Republicans allow themselves to be held hostage to the threat of a shutdown. RETURN TO REGULAR ORDER!
