Watch how candidates react to the de-Boehnification of the House

This is one of those times when breaking news can shed a little more light on the candidates. There have been quite different reactions among the candidates to the news that John Boehner is resigning. Unlike Patrick McGoohan's "Number 6," there really is no mystery as to why Boehner resigned – he was too accommodating of the entire Obama agenda, be it funding Obamacare or the illegal amnesty or now, in his final act, the subsidizing of abortions and the sale of baby parts.

Here's how Jeb Bush reacted, commenting in English on Twitter:

John Boehner dedicated his life to public service. Bringing the Holy Father to Congress was a fitting cap to a great career.

Wrong. He had a terrible career, participating in racking up huge amounts of debt and enabling the Obama agenda. A symbolic visit from the pope changed none of that. From his statement, it is clear that Jeb Bush quite liked Boehner's accommodationist policies.

Now here's how Ted Cruz reacted: he was hysterical with joy, actually joking about Boehner's demise and calling for other establishment politicians to get the boot.

"You want to know how much each of you terrify Washington?" Mr Cruz asked the audience of grassroots evangelical conservative at this annual conference. "Yesterday, John Boehner was Speaker of the House. Y'all come to town and somehow that changes."

"My only request," he quipped, "is, can you come more often?"

Clearly, he didn't agree with Bush that Boehner had performed some great "public service" by carrying the water for the Obama agenda.

You are right. He will probably do something akin to Hitler flooding the Berlin underground.

Marco's uncomfortableness likely comes from another demonstration of the intensity of disgust with all things establishment.......

....into which he just this week renewed his membership with a clear path to citizenship plan. Gulp!

Unhealthy Boner lasted too long and we sought help. That’s what the commercial says to do.

What I would like more is to see their reaction at the name of his most qualified successor: Dave Brat.

Rubio’s overly-sincere and carefully stated presentations are becoming oddly out of touch and almost creepy.

I get that exact, same feeling when Ted Cruz over emote's while speaking. (I happen to like Ted Cruz, many of his supporters on the other hand not so much.)

Cruz, a Southern Baptist, whose father is now a minister, has the speaking style of a preacher when he gets wound up.

I like it.

That is the WORST thing about Cruz, and he needs to lose it. Looking straight into the camera with a weirdly over-serious expression on his face, and beginning some over-emoting about his parents or some such. All that is missing is the Hallmark channel violin track.

And I really love him. He’s better when he is just speaking naturally.

ROFL at hallmark channel violin track!!!

Honestly I think he’s brilliant. I enjoy listening to him more than watching because of how he emotes. I actually prefer reading him more than anything else.

I have a feeling that some dirt was found on Boehner and he was threatened with leaking it to the press. I don’t buy he was just waiting until the Pope came to retire. I can understand stepping down as Speaker, but to give up his house seat as well? Just feel more to the reason why he is leaving so quickly and it wasn’t for the good of the party and he had planned it since last year.

The voting primary BASE was very happy but....if the Stupid Party puts another RINO cave in to the Speaker’s office, it will be Chinatown all over again. Enough. Put a conserv in and force the Dems to defend their evil.

Rubio’s overly-sincere...he's oddly out of touch and almost creepy.

Kinda reminds me of Ann Coulter's jab---that Rubio reminded her of an overbearing bell-boy.

“an overbearing bell-boy”

Yes, perfect description. He is obsequious.

How can they openly praise a genocidal maniac like Margaret Sanger? In fact, criticizing her in any way is a crime against humanity in the popular narrative.
