RE: DANIEL WEBSTER WILL RUN TO REPLACE JOHN BOEHNER AS SPEAKER

Now If THE Daniel Webster came back from the dead, he would be a great speaker of the House.

He’s my congressman and I happen to know him personally and he is a great conservative Christian.

BTW, for those who don’t know or forgot...

Webster was a central figure in the Terri Schiavo case which involved a dispute between relatives on whether to remove the feeding tube of an unconscious woman who had been in a persistent vegetative state for years. In March 2005, he introduced SB 804 that would have prohibited such patients from being denied food and water if family members disagreed on the patient’s wishes and if the patient had not expressed his wishes in writing when competent.

The bill failed to pass the Senate by three votes.

Thanks for posting that.
I don't know anything about him, so this is helpful.

Then-Governor Boosh COULD have put a stop to what was allowed to happen to Terri Schiavo...but DID NOT.

No. He is a RINO.

Are you saying that McCarthy isn't one also?

I’d REALLY like to see Randy Forbes (VA-4) run for the Speakership as well. Per www.ontheissues.org, here are his stances on immigration:

Voted YES on preventing tipping off Mexicans about Minuteman Project. (Jun 2006)
Rated 100% by FAIR, indicating a voting record restricting immigration. (Dec 2003)
Rated 92% by USBC, indicating a sealed-border stance. (Dec 2006)
Government services in English only. (Mar 2008)
End Birthright Citizenship; no more anchor babies. (Apr 2009)
Rated A by the ALI, indicating a strongly anti-amnesty stance. (Nov 2010)
Stop releasing low-risk illegal immigrants. (Mar 2013)
Declare English as the official language of the US. (Feb 2007)

I don’t know, but I saw the remnants of the mysterians at a roadside bar in Munger, MI. Billed themselves as such and did 96 tears - so that was kinda cool.

I know Dan. He’s the real deal. Read up on how his office comes in under budget every year and how he doesn’t take pay increases.

Phooey. Skip this silliness and go straight for Dave Brat.

Apparently the plan last year was for boner to resign in favor of cantwhore. All the more appropriate to have Dave Brat get the laurels instead.

Revenge is best served cold.

“He is a RINO.”

Not in my book. He had the courage to run against Boehner before it was a popular thing to do.

In Florida, he governed as a conservative Speaker of the House.

He was a champion for home school families while in the Florida legislature. I think he and his wife home schooled all or some of their six children.

Get me somebody from Texas, a truly free Conservative State.

Uh, John Cornyn is from Texas right?

Your comment is arrogant & laughable. Texas, home of RINOS John Cornyn & Rick Perry. Also the home of the radical, racist, dangerous Castro brothers. No state is perfect, including Texas.

Didn’t Newt cave to Clinton during the original government shutdown? What’s with this historical revisionism making Newt out to be some kind of conservative superhero. The man is as much a RINO as Mitt Romney.

Also you know Newt isn’t a member of the House. This “non-member” Speaker idea is just that, I doubt very much the courts would rule in favor of allowing it. It’s a dumb idea in any case.

He’s conservative as is his constituents.

However he seems very soft spoken to me.

I have met him and his kids before at various conferences and activities.

He is not very aggressive. The scumbag Alan Grayson ran against him smearing him and boldly lying about Webster. Webster responded...but didn’t particularly fight.

Well, if I had a choice of a fighter or a conservative, I would choose the conservative as long as he supports those who will do the fighting for him. For instance, if he were present in the Senate when Cruz was looking for someone to back him up... and Webster spoke out, I would find that sensational.
I like his name (trivial but awesome) and he has to have some moxey in order to step forward for the position. Look at all the others hiding behind the drapes. He is someone I could really like.
