Donald Trump earned a rare rebuke from a conservative audience on Friday after criticizing Sen. Marco Rubio, who as emerged as his prime sparring partner in recent days.
Speaking to a social conservative crowd at the Values Voters Summit, where Rubio spoke earlier in the day, Trump was met with a wave of boos after calling his Republican rival a “clown” in his speech.

Rubio is a clown. He’s a Bush protege. He’s a despicable demagogue saying one thing in spanish and the opposite in English. He’s all for Amnesty. Calling Rubio a clown is an understatement.

well, you can rest assured that this will be repeated 24/7 for the next few days on all the media. I’m a Trump supporter, but want him to stop the personal attacks during his speeches. IT really wasn’t necessary since Rubio was there too. He needs to stick to the issues and stop the personal insults. He can attack their policies, but he should stay of the weeds. I didn’t like it when he announced his candidacy, and I don’t like it now. It’s rather embarrassing as a presidential candidate. Sure, we like a fighter, but not a constant name caller. Yes, others call him names but they expose their lack of class too. I think Rubio probably started this, so, maybe I’m just ranting for nothing. Whether Rubio started it or not - a lot of voters are getting tired of the name calling from all of them.
Anyone that feels sorry for Rubio’s feels can can the Trump’s not a conservative” stchick.

There was sporadic booing when he mentioned Rubio's name, as there was cheering when he mentioned Boehner's resignation. They were in no way booing Trump.
This occurs at the 5:20 point. Had to listen a couple of times. Sounds like most were booing Rubio’s name.
